old belize cultural and historical center

It's worth the short drive/shuttle from the cruise ship. Good eats, drinks, a beach/lagoon with water slide and a top notch museum on the history of Belize. Of course if you're spending more time in Belize see the actual Mayan ruins and spend some time in the Cayes!

The beach was man made water very cold. Volleyball, swimming, giant slide swing/rope, dancing, restaurant, historical lil mini museum , LIVE DJ on beach (music too loud) but okay bathrooms were clean and nice scenery. Slide was great & free tubes if you just want to relax in the water. It was very hot plenty of lounge chairs but not much shade and Bar far away only saw one server making rounds but everyone liked drinks. Also fish feeding going on in back ...all and all it was ok nice lazy day in the sun.

kind of worth the 5 bucks to get in you can see how the british lived in the day across from St Johns and bird isle grill and bar see them all

Stopped here for lunch while traveling. Great view from the restaurant, affordable prices. Food was average, but the atmosphere made up for it.

As we were going from cruise ship to port, guy on tender boat told us he could set us up on tour to go to beach. Instead tour bus takes us to a man made pond. Plus it's going to cost us an extra $10 to swim. We were only planning on being there an hour and a half so it really wasn't worth it. Instead we had a couple beers and left after an hour. At least the bar had no cover charge. What a scam.

I went here for lunch with three friends. It was a long way out of town to just go for lunch but my friend had heard that the food was good here and it was. Service was quick and efficient and friendly. Would try another restaurant in town next time I visit. Thank you.

Long drive and not enough beach chairs. We met some fun people from Alabama that were off another cruise ship and that made it more pleasant. The music was way too loud for us older guests aka geezers. We would make another choice next time.

There wasn't much to see here but a few artifacts, pictures, and a bit of art. The house was nice to check-out though.

Took a chance on this place as we were getting of a cruise and figured that we'd have better luck negotiating direct then booking through the cruise line. After a 20 minute drive from the boat through the poorer side of the city we got there and from the looks not anything eyecatching but as you approach the ticket counter be sure your kid are at least 48" tall to ride the slide. DJ was great, place was pretty empty other than us and other cruisers but be sure to take your towels as they don't have towel service, lockers or snacks in their gift shop. We did have the driver stop to get us drinks to take in which was nice but no showers either if you're expecting that. Our 4 year-old had a blast as did his cousins (6, 14, &16) but not anything spectacular.

A place that has all-in-one. Can see the Old Belize museum, eat at the restaurant, and or enjoy the lovely man-made beach. We had great time!

Starting with the Mayas, up to the early 1900, you get a good feel for the history of Belize. The captions are very informative and easy to read. It can be reached easily with the local bus for about $1. No need to take a cab as the bus stops upon request.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and scenery, but loved all the old artifacts even more. So much history, activity and food in one place. Nice family setting.

We met our tour bus at the tourism village. The guide was organized and knowledgeable from start to finish. Took a 20 minute ride and we were there. Toured the historical center first which was interesting and informative. They went went into a theater like setting where were continued a tour of the history of Belize through music and dance. It was amazing. Our group was mixed in ages from children to seniors and everyone enjoyed themselves. Refreshments were served after the show.

The info they have there is small but good. Nice art work and carvings. I was rushed through by my tour guide. I would have liked to stay longer.

The old Belize experience is awesome as it provide a historic and cultural perspective of the country with its museum.Its interesting display of the different culture is impressive. A tour guide makes the visit even more value.The restaurant provide very good local as well as international cuisine for your indulgence.The well design man-made cucumber beach is situated just beside the restaurant.The perfect place to be in Belize City to just relax and at the same time acquiring knowledge of this Beautiful country
