This may be the best Hotel in Panajachel. You will need to walk about 20 minutes toget to the town centre. We had a suite and it was great. Huge and very comfortable. There is a restaurant thats good. Not as good as some other choices in town but still quite good especially if you do not want to wander out at night. The pool area is beautiful and you have a great view of the lake as you lounge about.Prices are high for Panajachel options.
I enjoyed walking around those magnificent and well kept gardens, the weather was spectacular along with the view to Lake atitlan.
People pay to see this garden with we stayed in the hotel so it was all ours at any time. I liked that all plants where clearly named. Rose garden, pond, white peacock. What a haven for a weary traveller. End the day in the infinity hot tub and gaze at the lake and volcanoes.
We spent over 2 hours walking around and enjoying the botanical gardens. THey are well looked after by a large staff of gardeners. It looks beautiful and we took loads of pictures of the different exotic flowers, plants, trees, parrots, toucans, and the view of the lake.If you are a guest the entrance is free, if you come as a visitor there is an entrance fee of Q55.-
We stayed at the hotel, but we made the time to walk through the gardens each morning and each evening... saw so many birds it was amazing!
We stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the gardens during our stay. A large team of gardeners worked long and hard in the gardens, and it was easy to see that there efforts were paying off as there was a tremendous range of beautiful plants set off by well manicured lawns.
The gardens are stunning. We have spent money to visit gardens less spectacular than this one. There is no entry fee here if you are a guest of the hotel. We enjoyed seeing the birds, especially the macaw, who is allowed out of its enclosure during the day and who proved to be quite a clown.
The gardens are magnificent and there are hidden talkers all around. Visit all the gardens. You'll be amazed at the number of animals, the topiary, the flora and the beautiful setting.
Beautiful grounds to meander through and lots of birds (parrots, toucans, peacocks, etc) to admire. Not sure I would make a separate trip to this attraction if I wasn't already staying at the hotel, but was definitely nice bonus feature.
The flowers and trees and animals (parrots, peacocks, bunnies, etc.) were one of the highlights of our trip to Pana. Set right on the lake, stunning pictures of the volcano and the lake were to be had. Eat at the restaurant and have your visit to the gardens taken off your lunch bill. A great way to spend a half day.
Gardens were amazing.. taken care of by the hotel staff and the owner's wife! Aviary with toucans and other tropical birds and a WHITE peacock.. (and "regular" peacock, too)... A wonderful walk to relax..
Great walks in this lucious gardens with great variety of flowers and plants. The view from the garden over the lake is amazing
The garden is well-tended and presents a variety of beautiful plants. The gardens can be found in front of the hotel toward the lake and also within the courtyards. The gardens are a delight for the eyes.
The view from the hotel is marvellous. The gardens are well maintained having lots of birds, included some cages for the larger kept varieties. The gardens run down to the lakeside.
It is a beautiful place. The hotel is wonderful and service great. The gardens are magnificent. We are going back this winter. The boat ride across the lake is also lovely. The hotel is clean, wonderful and has beautiful furniture. The buffet was splendid.
