I don't normally write reviews on TripAdvisor...I read them. : ) But Nyree offers such a unique and effective session that I felt compelled to join the legions of reviewers at last!I have had a host of injuries over the years (hips, shoulders, etc.). Nowadays my "big issues" are dealing with the pain caused by a small growth around the upper part of my spine and dealing with ongoing achilles pain. I made the trek from north of Heredia to see Nyree based on the reviews and the desire to try SOMETHING new to see if I could get some relief. Suffice to say that the trip was MORE than worth it.A regular deep tissue massage is all about someone trying to dig as deep as they can into the muscles, etc. (break up knots, etc.). With Nyree it is different. She uses a unique mixture of massage, stretching, motion, etc. to get deeper into the tissue than you could ever get with a regular massage. Yet somehow she does so in a way that feels both intense and comfortable at the same time. I am going to book another appointment with Nyree for next week. It was that good and that helpful!

I have tried so many massages, but today's experience was beyond!! I feel amazing, no pain left (and I hat a lot), I feel absolutely balanced and Nyree is just amazing. I am going back in 3 days, to repeat the 90 min session!

Totally relaxing, more than just a massage in a very clean, serene studio. I have been going for massage for the last fifteen years or so, mostly deep tissue or sports massage and have been to a variety of therapists, Nyree's technique is unique and was the most effective work I've ever had done. She is a great listener with a wonderful sense of humor. During my extended stay in Tamarindo, I went for two separate 90min sessions. If you want to really enhance the enjoyment of your stay, I suggest a visit to her lovely location right in the center of town, easy parking too. Her technique is a smooth mix of stretching, breathing and manipulation. I was stretched in ways that were new to me and it was oh, so good and the pressure used was spot on. Nyree really knows her stuff, and you will be pleased with yourself for stopping in.

I went in with a stiff neck, sore shoulder and knee and came out feeling great! The therapist has a gentle but very effective technique and listens to you express your problem areas. Great way to totally rejuvenate on that decompressing journey!

Yoga massage therapy is excellent! I have had a total knee replacement and I have an arthritic shoulder and neck. The therapist (Nayree) was gentle with the sore areas, but still pushed the limits to do some joint release and make me go away feeling much better.I am a physical therapist, so I understand massage, but this is not just a massage it is an EXCELLENT method of stimulating muscles, relaxing soft tissues, restoring joint mobility and leaving the patient with a feeling of satisfaction and gratitude.This is an awesome treatment that should not be missed!

Nyree -- you're the greatest! The day after my girlfriend and I had a tumble and needed some bodywork, I emailed you and you had us both booked an hour later. Your treatment was fabulous and I'd go for it every day if I could. You really know your stuff and you're very professional and attentive in your treatments. Thank you!

My husband & I love massages (who doesn't) however, massages tend to be an indulgence for us since here in the US a "good" massage costs $$$$. Well, we were is Tamarindo last summer and on a whim my husband booked us with Nayree. We both were blown away with the massages we received. Nayree techniques and eastern approach to massage left us both in awe~ and we both agreed we will NEVER have that good of a massage again. I wish more therapists practiced massage like Nayree~ I'm not sure I will waste my money on another massage here in the states. Thankfully, my husband & I love Costa Rica (and it's so much easier to get to now with direct flights from LA!) We can't wait until our next visit and to be sure, we will book massages with Nayree !Pura Vida!

Nyree Aguilar gave me a wonderful massage today. It was therapeutic and restorative and I wish I wasn't flying home tomorrow or I would go back for another!

My wife and I are in Costa Rica for 3 weeks. We booked into sessions with Nayree in the first week. I was having a problem with my right arm/shoulder and Nayree's treatment has sped my recovery. My wife has MS and the physical problems that go with it. She was "tingling" after the session. We just had second sessions are are so pleased with how we feel, third sessions are booked next week. Both of us go to massage therapy back home in Canada so we really know good practitioners. We would like to take Nayree home with us to Victoria!

I get massages about every two weeks, and am sure to try massages in different countries in all of my travels. I like to try new things and by doing so I am sometimes disappointed and sometimes pleased. Nyree takes her craft very seriously here at Yoga Massage, she has studied abroad in her field in great depths and works her craft with passion. This massage experience was outstanding to say the least.....not only was it interesting and different from the norm, but it helped to open my body and relax me as well as invigorate my spirit. I highly recommend trying this experience while in Tamarindo! Pura Vida@!

What a great experience! I was a little sore after, but the beneficial effects of the massage lasted longer than any other massage I have received!!

We enjoyed a week in Tamarindo. My husband was lucky enough to enjoy Nyree on his first day and made sure to return for a second visit before our departure. My mom also went twice, myself once and also my sister-in-law. We all thought Nyree was amazing and we highly recommend her and her amazing services. I have seen many massage therapists and I've found the best way to evaluate how good they are is to see them at least twice. After my first session with Nyree, I felt lengthened out and very relaxed. I saw her again a few days later, and I could tell the first treatment had lasting effects because areas that were sore the first time, were feeling relaxed and better. I agree with other reviews that Nyree has a gift. She made me feel comfortable and at ease right away. She's personable but professional and gives you that space to let go and really get into the treatment. I only wish I had gone in sooner into my trip. Don't hesitate, just email and book in. You won't regret it.
