David did an excellent job of organizing a series of drivers to pick four of us up at different times and different locations during our stay in Costa Rica. He checked in on us after every drive to make sure all was well and arranged different pick-up times (even at the last minute) to help us out.The drivers were on time, friendly, happy to stop for photo ops and knew the good places to eat along the way. Our drive from Liberia to Monteverde was particularly memorable as we took a route we would never have driven if we had rented a car ourselves- and had wonderful views of Arenal. Perhaps more expensive than renting a car (depending on how much driving you intend to do) but no one had to drive or navigate (even GPS cannot always help you find a small hotel) and it was a wonderful stress-free trip. The staff of CRTTE made our trip to Costa Rica a complete pleasure. Traveling for the very first time to central america I was very concerned about how we would get around. We had 3 destinations and needed to travel by air, boat and auto.It was a pleasure to work with CRTTE. From the moment I contacted David he was professional, courtesy and very helpful. Everyone of our drivers were delightful and very informative. Even when we had to ask for last minutes changes to our arrangements CRTTE was kind, understanding and very accommodating.It was a true pleasure to work with this professional customer oriented and friendly team. Luis, the driver, was a wonderful help for us as we traveled from San Jose to Arenal to Monte Verde to Esterillo Estes to Manuel Antonio.The Toyota Coaster was a very comfortable bus for the 19 of us. We found Luis to be extra careful and driving cautiously. Even the kids in the back were comfortable during the entire ride around Costa Rica.Working with David who was our initial point of contact seemed to go well except for a payment hitch. We had to pay upfront and use wire transfer....neither was as comfortable for us! The wire transfer was further complicated by the fact that David's instructions was not aligned with what my bank required. It was eventually sorted out! We found David willing to help a whole lot and very professional.We needed to go to waterfall rapelling and David connected us to one of the places that turned out to be a very good place to go. In some ways, we wished that we had booked through David some of our other activities as we could have saved a bit of money.

David is one of those guys that actually CARE for his customers. We went for a bachelor party and he catered to every need we had with a GREAT ATTITUDE! He understands that each group is different and made suggestions accordingly. He really made the whole trip stress free with his timeliness and his flexibility. I can honestly say that without David our trip would've been lame. In today's world service is often overlooked. Not this company. They just simply get it. I am in the hotel industry myself and understand that good service can make all the difference for guests. If I could give themSix or seven on the rating I definitely would. They went above and beyond of what I expected a 5 rating would be.

We booked with Biotrans and I got immediate response and booked the trip. We arrived late in San Jose and David and Margaret were waiting there for us. It was a three hour drive to Quepos and it was late. David shared his knowledge of CR and safely traveling in the country. (Don't exchange currency in the airport for example). The traffic was bad so they took us a back way and we got passed all the traffic and saw some cool back country. They stopped for us at a roadside fruit stand and talked with the locals for us in picking out the fruit. We had incomplete directions for our condo (booked with someone else btw) and when we arrived we could not get a hold of anyone in the complex. We were stuck out in rural Costa Rica with no place to stay late at night. David would not let that happen. He assured us he knew of a place we could stay and took us there. It was a quaint little hotel in Quepos and he negotiated with the security guard to let us stay. ( it was very late and the office was closed). He and Margaret changed their plans and stayed over to make sure we got into our condo the next day. They took us to breakfast the next day and helped us rent a car. We did get into the condo the next day. We now have friends in Costa Rica. I cannot imagine how we could have made it without them. These guys are a family business and provide great service. Definitely use them on your trip here.

We booked several rides with Biotrans. Their driver, Carlos, was always right on time every time and always accommodated our needs. On our trip from San Jose to Manuel Antonio, he found us a nice soda (small family run restaurant) to eat at in Jaco and we stopped at a grocery for supplies. From Manual Antonio to Monteeverde, he found us another good restaurant and the bank. He was wonderful to talk to and told us all about himself, his family and Costa Rica. By the time we left, he felt like a friend. David was also great to work with. He called us several times to make sure everything was ok and even suggested some tours. We had all of ours mostly setup, so we didn't need his help on that and that was not a problem at all. Also, our trip was adjusted by a day and that was accommodated without any problems at all. Biotrans was professional and easy to work with - I recommend them highly!

We could not be happier with the service provided by David and Carlos of Biotrans Transportation. Our group of 4 arrived at the San Jose Airport to be greeted by Carlos. He was the most friendly driver/tour guide we could have asked for! Carlos talked with us and told us all about Costa Rica said us he would be "on call" for us for whatever we needed. Initially, we only arranged for transportation to and from our hotels however, after spending the first 1/2 hour with Carlos, we decided to book a full day excursion with him as our guide. Carlos took us, in his very comfortable van, to Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. He stayed with us the whole time and made us feel safe. He even stopped along the way to get us fresh strawberries and cheese! Throughout our trip, David called and emailed to check up on us as well. I highly recommend Biotrans to anyone looking for an amazing Costa Rican experience. Pura Vida!

We just returned from our Costa Rican honeymoon and had a small SUV rental from BioTrans for 9 days. Everything was great! The car was delivered out to us at the San Jose Airport very early in the morning when we arrived at 7am from our red eye flight. We were greeted by David first who came by the airport just to let us know that our car would be delivered by one of his colleagues named Lazaro who arrived shortly thereafter and was very friendly and professional. He took us to our car which was immaculate and walked us through how to use the GPS and some other items. We were soon on our way and had the vehicle for 9 days of Pura Vida fun! The highways in Costa Rica are new and up to American standards - very easy to drive on during the daylight hours. This was my 2nd trip renting a vehicle in Costa Rica for a long trip and the thing that sets this company apart is the extra mile they go for you to make sure you are having a perfect trip in their vehicles. They will give you their cell phone numbers and they will be there for you at any hour if you need them for any reason. Best part was they told me to just leave the car and the keys at the front desk of the hotel we were staying at when we got back to the San Jose Airport area to fly home. Our flight out was early at 7:30am and not having to worry about returning the car to a specific location the day before our departure gave us the extra relaxation we were looking for at the end of our honeymoon. NO stress...just Pura Vida. Thanks David and Lazaro and the rest of the Biotrans team! You all were great!

We found that for our group (5 adults & 2 kids)...booking our own transportation (none of us wanted to drive a rental car) was cheaper than going through private tours. We booked a car through Biotrans to go from Los Suenos resort near Jaco to Monteverde for the day, as well as a day trip to the Poas volcano and La Paz waterfall (excellent recommendation from David!). The drivers were professional and David made sure we were taken care of.

Bachelor Party March 2014 Group of 11 guysDavid was on top of our needs from day one. We had about 40 emails back and forth before we got to Costa Rica. We originally booked 2 airport transfers to and from SJO and 2 transfers to and from San Jose and JAco. Added two more airport runs last minute without any issue. David got back to me within the hour of every email I sent him. Most of the times it was less than an hour before he email me back. He would even call me whenever I asked him to, just to clarify any uncertainties I may have had. David also setup a tour to an active volcano, atv tour, canopy/ziplining and took us out to some hot spots in the evening. We were there for a total of 5 days and he was on call for us all 5 days. If plans changed he had no problem accommodating us. The first day we got there we asked if he could bring an ice chest for the long rides he gladly brought one from home and the next day returned with a different bus that had a refrigerator unit in it. Life Saver. He was constantly going above and beyond for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and proud of his country. All rates charged were extremely reasonable and he just wanted us to feel comfortable and have fun. I can honestly say that David made our trip as fun as it could have been.I cannot express how much WE LOVE THIS GUY! He is genuinely nice, caring and honest. I am actually contacting him about booking a trip for my cousin next month. Thank you David and Biotrans!!!!

David picked up my wife and myself from SJO. He took us to Jaco. He was very knowledgeable about the area. He was ontime and quickly got us to our destination.Carlos picked up our three children 9 days later. He took them from SJO to puntarenas. My first experience with Biotrans on my first trip to Costa Rica was like a family member met me at the airport. When I first elected to use this company for transportation, I was surprised to get a quick answer to my e-mail. I was worried they might not be on time or really be there to pick me up at the airport. Since my flight was getting there after dark in a foreign country I was a little apprehensive. When I walked out of the airport there was a fellow with a sign with my name. Also his English was so good I new he must be from the USA. He was not. David provided me with an encyclopedia of information about the country. He was very nice and provided me with several inexpensive tours around town and of the countryside. I highly recommend this company!
