I went for my PADI last November and chose Dolphin Dive over the other dive shop on the island because they were quick to reply to my emails (I never heard back from the other dive shop). I was quite nervous to do the course as I had never done anything like this before. My instructor Stefano was great and helped me out a lot, turned out I had nothing to worry about. The 4 days of learning were fun (besides being stung A LOT by jellyfish during the enclosed dives). I would recommend diving here as the instruction was excellent and the diving superb. We even got to watch Stefano spear a dragon fish and feed it to a shark. Make the most of the free filtered water they offer too.

I just got my Open Water two months ago and these were my first 2 fun dives. So I was a bit nervous but my dive master Garru was great and caring and I had the best dives! I would advice to do at least two dives. Our first one was to YellowTail, the second one to Patch. On the second dive, we had a nurse shark following us like like a dog the entire dive (47 minutes). It was an amazing experience. The equipment was in good shape and another plus is that you can choose between bar and PSI, easy for Europeans who are used to bar. Great experience, I can recommend them!

I am very surprised to read this review as many of our customers go out of their way to tell us how pleasantly surprised they are at how professional, friendly and helpful the shop and the staff are for such a remote location.I am sorry that these customers felt that we did not live up to their expectations in that regard.We aim to keep our dive briefings brief (we don't want people falling asleep before the dive!) but informative and fun, and it is also an opportunity for divers to ask any questions before going on the dive.We ask divers to be at the dive shop 45 minutes in advance of the dive time for their first dive to allow plenty of time for equipment set up and checks etc. On occasions if divers are late showing up then yes we may need to do things quicker to avoid delaying the rest of the group, I do not know if this was the case with these divers, but we ask that divers are prompt so that ample time is allowed and so that people do not feel rushed.Whilst we don't individually check every buddy pair to see that they are doing their checks, we would expect certified divers to do this anyway as they would have originally be trained to do. Both our dive staff and boat drivers will keep a general eye on divers as they gear up and are there to assist with any problems, and also with entries and exits from the boat.We have also invested in a lot of new equipment recently, we got 12 brand new regulators and 4 BCDs in November 2014, and we have another 8 new BCDs coming in the next month or two.Once again, apologies to these customers if they feel we did not live up to our own high standards.

We did two dives and wished for more. Our first dive was fairly anti-climactic with not much to see. I understand this is rare though as the others who dove with us said they had been diving for days and that it was the least active dive they had been on as well. The night dive however was incredible. It was my girlfriend and me's first time on a night dive and we absolutely loved it. Highly recommend Dolphin Dive to anyone travelling to Little Corn. Very educated, friendly, and helpful staff. Wish we would have had more time to get more dives in.

My review is about the operators and not particularly the diving which was pretty good but not mind blowing.The price charged is incredibly low and great value. The service is very good and the dive operation very well managed.You arrive 30 minutes before your dive and your gear is ready for you in the boat. The boat leaves on time and it is just a short ride to the dive sites. Everything worked well from start to finishHighly recommended if you want to dive Little Corn

My sister and I just got certified during the summer, my dad had dived before but it was a while ago, and my mom was half way done with her certification so we were all pretty new to scuba diving. It would be my sister and I's first real dive so of course we were a bit nervous and so was my mom. We got there a bit late but the staff were super nice about it. They were great with us, making sure we were comfortable and knew exactly where we were going and what we were going to do that day. They made sure we knew all of the signs for the dive and checked all of our gear as well. Once we were out there we looked down and saw a nurse shark. It was so cool! Our dive instructors Gary and Jen were super great helping us get under water, and once we were under making sure we were ok and pointing out everything for us. On each dive we did we saw at least one nurse shark and one stingray. The dives were amazing, there was so much to see and the water wasn't very cold either. It photographed great! We have a go pro and we all loved taking pictures with it. You have to be careful though, a shark tried to eat it once. My sister, dad, and I also did a night dive which was amazing, there were lots of cool things to see and I definitely recommend it. Overall we loved the dolphin dive and the staff were truly amazing. If you are on little corn and like scuba, I definitely recommend it!

Dolphin Dive was the first place I ever dove in the ocean, seeing as I was open water certified in a lake with three foot visibility. The staff was SO nice and was one of the things we miss most about LCI. We have now dove in multiple other places and dolphin is still #1. Not only was it the place where we saw some of the best underwater life, but the visibility was great and the staff was AMAZING. We dove with Gary and Jen and they were the absolute nicest people on the planet. They helped us underwater and were always as excited as we were when we came up to talk about what we had seen. We had a camera with us and Gary would take it and put it in all the little cracks and crevices to get us AMAZING footage. The dive shop also had the best equipment we have dived with. We did dives every day we were here and still want to go on more. The night dive was moderate because their usual place was inaccessible and unsafe due to the weather, but we still saw lobster, eel, bioluminescence, and more. While on our day dives, we saw stingrays, nurse sharks, and SO many fish. We also saw a giant pufferfish. This was one of the best places I have ever been and Dolphin dive made it amazing.

Reserved a couple dives and a room online so i could just crash when i got to little corn. After the first dive this was where i wanted to spend the rest of my stay diving. Staff was awesome. Friendly knowledgeable helpful. Did a great job pointing things out underwater. Night dive is a must. I normally like to get a vibe before i dive but this gamble was a jackpot. 2 thumbs up and big smile.

That last guy obviously went to a different place then this because I am a solo traveler and thought it was super professional and the staff was a blast. Stayed for 2 weeks instead of 3 days I was having so much fun. Went on 22 dives while I was there. Adam respond promptly to my email while I was in Granada, answering all my questions and giving me the low down on the conditions. The whole staff loves their job and it shows. They make it fun but safe as well. I am pretty sure that if Gary, one of the dive masters, had gills, he would be living under water. Oh and did I mention how cheap it was. Check it out for yourself. I dove Honduras last year just like the last guy, and I thought this was better here, as Honduras seemed a bit over fished. You will fall in love with this entire island and miss your plane like I did. You will see.

I've dove quite a bit throughout Southeast Asia, Central America, and the Caribbean, and I have normally found dive masters and the staff at dive shops to be quite amiable people who enjoy their work. This was my first (and so far only) experience in which I been treated rudely. Although I stated that I was willing to join any other dive groups that were going the next day, one of the dive masters/managers acted put-off that I was a solo traveler and wasn't able to offer the business of a large group. He ignored my inquiries and stated that I could show up the following morning and see if anyone else was going. The following day only proved to be much worse as the dive master/manager continued to display a negative attitude and would only provide short, curt answers if he did address our dive group at all. It was completely unprofessional and put a huge damper on my stay on the island. I ended up leaving early. Besides the service, I thought that the diving wasn't nearly as great as the Bay Islands in Honduras. For beach fronts on Little Corn that weren't directly in front of a hotel/hospedaje, there was quite a bit of trash along the shoreline and in the brush. It was definitely disheartening to see.

My wife and I have made the trip to LCI three times, once during the dry season and twice during the wet season. The wet season trips did suffer from the daily shower, but it was usually brief and didn't impact the diving in any way. All trips were fantastic, not the least of which was due to our dive operator, Dolphin Dive. LCI is a remote unspoiled diving paradise and the dive sites reflect this. The reefs are healthy and boast high biodiversity. You'll find many corals such as Elkhorn and Staghorn, that have been wiped out by bleaching or disease in most other parts of the world, growing strong. There are a high number of fish and marine creature species located all around the island. We saw everything from Blue Chromis and Drumfish to Great Hammerheads and Eagle Rays. Visibility on both trips never went below 30ft with 50-70ft being the average, although on some days the viz did stretch out farther. The water temperature was steady at the mid to low 80's on all trips. Nothing more than a rash guard or at most a 3mm shorty wetsuit is needed unless you're especially prone to getting cold (on several dives I didn't even bother wearing a rash guard). There's a good cross-section of dive sites not just "shallow" ones. Some of the dive sites only have a depth of 25-40ft such as White Holes and Casa, others such as Jeff's Rock & Tarpon Channel are 75-80ft. In fact, during our Deep Diver Specialty Course we went to one site that had a depth of over 100ft. Larger marine animal species we encountered include Great Hammerheads, numerous Eagle Rays, several Nurse Sharks, Reef Sharks, Sea Turtles, and Stingrays. Smaller marine animal species seen include Giant Hermit Crabs, several species of Parrotfish, Porcupinefish, Drumfish, Toadfish, several different types of Crabs, several different Angelfish, several different Triggerfish, African Pomponos. Also, expect to see a lot of Caribbean Spiny and Spotted Lobster above and below the water as the island economy depends on them. Lobster can be purchased on the island for a fraction of the price in the US, usually less than $12USD will get you a two tail dinner with sides. Dolphins have been spotted at a few sites (especially Yellowtail) above and below the surface. The Night Diving is not to be missed either as the bioluminesence is usually unbelievable. There usually isn't any current at any of the dive sites and most of the dive sites are just a 5-10 min. boat ride with the exception of Blowing Rock. Blowing Rock being the king of LCI Dive Sites...a pinnacle dive that's worth the 30-45 min. boat ride it takes to get there. The site is astounding, pristine, and not to be missed. Everything is larger from the corals to the fish. Expect the possibility of seeing Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Nurse Sharks, Stingrays, massive Barracuda, huge Lobsters, schools of Horse-Eye Jacks, and much more.Dolphin Dive is an excellent shop with a great set of instructors and divemasters. Everyone from the head instructor Adam to Instructors Steph, Jen, Stefano, & Molly are amazing...even the Divemaster Candidates are excellent! Divemaster Garry Sjogreen is especially slick and has the ability to spot a juvenile Smooth Trunkfish the size of a pea (Listen for his scream)! We've taken four specialty courses (PPB, Night, Deep, and Nav) and the Rescue Course, and all of the coursework was led by an outstanding instructor who made sure we learned the subject and had fun doing it. All of our "fun" dives were led by very knowledgeable divemasters who took their time and made sure we saw not only the larger fish but also the macro as well. This is emphatically not a Cozumel cattle-boat dive op. Additionally, the shop has a full line of well maintained equipment. The prices for diving are beyond cheap as well, 1 tank dives for $35, 2 tank dives for $65 (I even think equipment is included). You'll be hard pressed to find cheaper diving anywhere. Additionally, the dive shop is partnered with the hotel it's attached to, Hotel Los Delfines, which is cheap and one of the only air-conditioned hotels on the island. It should be noted that none of the Corn Island dive ops are equipped with Nitrox and there are no wrecks on LCI. I really couldn't recommend LCI and Dolphin Dive more.

We did one dive with Stef with a group of 5. Decent equipment, good boat and great dive spot. Stef hunting for invasive species and killing a lion fish provided the icing on the cake.Would recommend this diving school

I went with my sister and a friend to Little Corn and to specifically dive with Dolphin Dive after a friend’s recommendation and they didn’t disappoint. Even with a slight scheduling mix-up in the beginning, Adam (runs the shop) quickly fixed it for us and we were on our way to diving 20 dives that week. My sister was doing her Advanced certification while we were there and Stephanie and Jen took great care of her and she learned everything she needed to know. We got to dive with Garry and Molly all week and it was a complete blast. Terrence (or Tree Chainz as we call him) was our amazing captain and took great care of us. Everything was well run, the briefings were great and the gang was fun to hang around with. We also stayed at Los Defines right next door, so it couldn’t have been more convenient. We went on two night dives which were two of the most amazing night dives I’ve ever had because of the bioluminescence. And what great dives for my sister’s first night dives! The second dive we had our lights off for about 15 minutes and it was like being inside the Avatar movie. I highly highly recommend doing this and just leaving your light off for as long as you can! We hit as many sites as we could on the one side of the island due to the time of year and wind on the other side, so we also missed out on any hammerhead sitings. But that just leaves me a reason to go back! We made some great friends at Dolphin Dive and I highly recommend checking them out if you’re heading to Little Corn. Thanks guys!!!

Diving with Dolphin Dive was an amazing experience. The instructors were very fun and helpful about everything. I got my open water certification within a couple of days, and later enjoyed many dives in the beautiful reefs around Little Corn. Dolphin Dive is the way to go if you are looking for a beautiful place to dive with an amazing set of dive instructors. I'm looking forward to my next trip back.

This was such a perfect experience! I was able to get certified and get up to my 14th dive at Dolphin Dive, and every time was breathtakingly beautiful. I always felt safe, and every dive was more than worth it. And the night dives are the best! Try it-- you won't be disappointed! The instructors are calm, easy to talk to, and fun! I had a great time not only diving and learning from them, but also just talking to them about anything. They are knowledgable, fun, and organized-- would definitely recommend!!!
