A wonderful family business. I received my lesson from Micky who was a good, patient instructor. The key is to relax, feel more than think, and go slow. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be hooked!

I went to Roatan on a week-long vacation, and on the one day I didn't dive I ended up taking a windsurfing lesson from Juan Miguel. JM is an excellent instructor, and patiently demonstrated all the basic windsurfing skills on land, after which we went into the water and I was able to catch some wind and ride! JM watched over me and offered helpful instructions on what to do when (turn right, get your board perpendicular, don't bend your back etc.). Overall, it was quite fun and I hope to try again soon.Another bonus is the the view from the pier - it's gorgeous.

What a great day! If you really want to learn how to windsurf, this is the place. Lorena was great. She let me advance at my speed and made sure that I not only understood what to do but why to do it that way. I can't wait for a return trip to Roatan so I can learn some more. Thanks again for everything!

Micky (Juan Miguel) is a very passionate instructor - he really wants you to learn how to do it before you go. My 16 yr old son & I did the 2 hour lesson and then went back 2 or 3 days later and rented a couple of boards for an hour to get in some more practice before heading home. Now I'm excited to try and find a board or two to use at our lakes in Oklahoma (yes, we have some great ones!)Turning around is the hardest part because it requires some balance as you pull the sail around. But like anything else after you do it a few times it gets more natural. The wind was kind of gusty on our day so we had a little more challenge. You won't regret doing this!

Myself and 2 grandchildren took lessons while on cruise-perfect! Try it you'll love it. You don't have to be athletic. It's easy to get up on board even if your 53 and overweight .If you fall off its only about 3-4 ft deep and that parts fun too! Lorena and Mickey are super teachers. Skip the cruise line stuff. Taking these lessons support a real family not a cruise line. Loved it!!!

My daughter and I spent our day in Roatan by taking windsurfing lessons from Micky and his dear wife Lorena. The lessons were superb and the setting spectacular. A must do when getting off the ship in Honduras! Micky even arranged a gentleman cab driver Marvin to pick us up from the ship and then show us around the island after our windsurfing lessons. Hassle free and very safe. We will be boasting of this adventure for many years to come.

We recently went for an afternoon of windsurfing while on our trip to Roatan. The winds were a little bit strong that day, so we were a bit concerned about it since my husband had never windsurfed in the past and it had been a long time for myself since the last time I'd windsurfed. Our instructor, Juan, alleviated our worries and concerns almost immediately!; he is extremely knowledgeable and a great instructor....patient, encouraging and enthusiastic to say the least! The equipment that he used was in great shape also and very much "higher end". We had a wonderful time and we have several fantastic pictures to remember this incredible afternoon, as Juan's wife took some excellent pictures for us while we were on the water. This activity was absolutely wonderful and we would highly recommend this attraction to any visitors to the beautiful island of Roataan! Thanks Juan!!Nicole and Dave - Canada

If you're reading this, just go ahead and book a lesson already. These guys are top notch. Just when we thought our trip to Honduras couldn't get any better, we stopped by Micky's windsurfing school and our A+ trip went to an A++ trip. He's a spectacular teacher, cares about form, has a wonderful sense of humor, and puts everyone at ease, from beginner to advanced. You can't go wrong. You'll learn a lot and have a blast. This is a MUST DO if you're in Roatan.

We found this activity on Trip Advisor and our family said it was the highlight of our trip! Micky and his wife Lorena were wonderful and took so much time and patience with each of us (4 in the family). Within the first hour we were navigating with the basics and had HUGE SMILES on our faces. The beach they are on is beautiful, and there was plenty of shade if you needed a break from the sun and water. When we set up the reservation Micky had a driver meet our ship at the port and he took us directly to their location. I would highly recommend their school and wouldn't hesitate to go again if we get back to Roatan.

We did read about Mickys winsurfing school on Tripadvisor and thought that should be perfect for us to learn the basic steps to windsurf when we had a stop in Roatan when Cruised with NCL Dawn at the Christmas week. We contacted Micky and he organizedit so well.Marvin the taxi driver was waiting for us at the port and took us back after a appointment Micky gave him. I´m impressed that we actually did learn to windsurf just in 3 hours lesson and can now continue on our own to be better. This was a Fabtastic Day, and Thank you Micky and Lorena to making our Day so Great.Family Sawelin, Sweden

Owen and I decided to take windsurfing lessons as a little treat for Owen's 40th birthday. We only had a couple of hours with Micky, but his no non-sense attitude and extreme passion for the sport had us up on the wind board in no time. A lot of people say that they don't get up the first time out - well give Micky at try! We really enjoyed the experience and Micky is very kind and accommodating and so his lovely family. Have fun! Micky is a great dude and very capable teacher. My wife and I got lessons a few weeks back. Wind was low so he offered us to come back the next day. Wind was strong second day and we had a great time. I noted his passion when he said "you may be the most skilled wind surfer I have ever seen, rarely do I get the pleasure of witnessing a person fall so gracefully, so often."Thanks man. Paddle ball next time!

Wonderful, I enjoyed so much practicing and learning good practices and techniques about windsurfing. If you really want to enjoy eat with ZERO STRESS Sandy bay in Roatan is the best choice. Besides that.... is so close and easy to have a a walk and go watch the dolphin and snorkeling. Is a beautiful quiet sea there. And when you further sail with your sail and board you find the most fantastic views of the bottom of the sea! Micky and his wife Lorena are such beautiful people and with a lot patiente. They are there for you.

We have been back packing around central america for a couple of months. We spent a week in Roatan in July and decided to take a break from diving, try something new and did a two hour windsurfing lesson. The staff were very friendly and laid back. The equipment was in good condition (they even swapped a sail half way through for the smaller of us). Our instructor, Lorena, explained everything well and gave us the basics on the beach before getting into the water. She was very patient with us first timers, and we soon got the knack of it. In the end, we spent about three hours there. They even took photos of us and offered to send them to us (although we haven't received them yet). By the end we were sailing up and down the sea. We had a great time, really enjoyed it, and would love to go back again, but the price is a bit expensive on our backpacker budget.

During my time abroad in Roatan, I continued to pass a sign for windsurfing while zooming by in taxis. I decided to seek out the windsurfing school and am very pleased that I did. The entire experience was quite beautiful. I was provided with private lessons from Micky and his wife. They are both excellent, patient teachers. It was very easy booking a lesson, and I simply walked down the beach in Sandy Bay to arrive at the school. The ocean is tranquil and perfect for learning; the equipment was more than sufficient, and the family beautiful. Thank you so very much!
