temple is very good , very nice location, the only issue which i found is that they will take your phones before entering the temple
It is only after a visit to the Dilwara Temples, you can appreciate what 'beauty in marble' means for the world! The only thing you can do whilst visiting is to gape in astonishment, awe, wonder, and respect for the artisans. Resplendent indeed. I'm sure if you are a first time visitor here, you would feel "how did they do this without any modern conveniences" running through your mind almost every other minute. A must-see destination, and needless to say, your trip to Mount Abu isn't complete unless you visit this place. Please bear in mind that apart from being a tourist hotspot, this is a place of worship, so maintaining decorum is necessary. What I found pitiful was inadequate maintenance at some places, and lack of attention by security personnel. Traveler tip - Do try and speak to the 'pandit ji' to know more about the place, and try and visit the other 3 temples in the complex which are also fashioned on similar lines as the main temple. Each structure has its own story to tell, and I'm sure you'll enjoy that .
Definitely worth seeing, Jain temples builts 1000s of years ago, the whole architecture and art work involved is mind blowing!
The carving at Dilwara is amazing , it was made of huge marble blocks , in those days there were no trucks or cranes for transport and no mechanized tools for carving. They have made a "Hasti shala" in memory of those Elephants who were healthful to transport the blocks from Ground to top of these hills.
its a good and historical temple between the road of guru sikhar. My new shoes is stolen from temple. so please beware from theft.
Very good hand carvings. Spacious place. No place to keep your belongings which are not permitted inside the temple so make arrangement for that. No photography is allowed which was disappointing.
The Dilwara temple is not only a must visit for the Jains but also for any tourist for its magnificent architecture and marble carvings. It is very near to Abu and conveniently reachable. Cameras and mobile phones are not allowed. Some of the souvenirs shops in the arena are good too.
Exquisite carvings. Difficult to believe such magnificence created when there was no transportation system to the hill station.
What to say, was totally mesmerized by the architecture, so divine and serene....very peaceful....a must go place, if u r in. Abu.....Another piece of architectural marvel by Jain community.....
The group of temples is hardly 2 to 3 kms from Mount Abu,The temple complex is constituted of 5 temples which are full of incredible pieces of art like chandeliers & arches made by carving white marble. For non jains temple z open after 12 noon. camera or cell phone are not allowed inside the temple .The temple is small and can be covered in 30 min,Excellent architecture and idols especially on the ceilings. But sad part is that management is too poor in maintaining such awesome property, no guides, no cleaning, most parts are locked .
You rarely see such beautiful piece of art. Amazing and beautiful. It will make you 'WAOO'. Complete temple is made of marble carving, too good work. You're not allowed inside the temple with your shoes on. So be aware that you'll have to walk inside all barefoot.Too many people, visitors. Try to go there on a weekday. They don't allow cameras. But I did see a few people clicking pictures with there phones. It's a must visit spot if you are in Mount Abu. Cheers for the people who made it (workers). They also have a few souvenirs shops and snacks shops outside the temple.
One of the best jain temple in Mount Abu...Beautiful marble carvings and awesome architecture...Nice preserved by the management...a must visit place in mount abu...
For Jain it's place for worship. I urge others don't take it as art but try to understand reasons behind it to built. It's center for worship not the place to enjoy its art. It's art for worship and respect who has built it.

Dilwara Temples at Mount Abu are probably the most beautiful amongst the Jain Temples in the world. The Temples look simple from outside but as you step inside, you are awestruck by the intricate carvings on white marble. Absolutely amazing and beautiful sculpturing by the craftsmen. You can spend hours inside the complex which consists of five temples. Peaceful and Serene.Photography is prohibited.
