Great Area, with some fantastic beaches. Try staying here over the other areas like panaji etc. Ashewm or Mandrem beaches are well worth it.
I loved Morjim beach .The reason a very long straight clean beach.I spent a whole day from morning to evening here and enjoyed Goan sea sand sun combo. The beach don't have staying option on the beach as this is restricted area for olive riddle tortoise. But beach has many beach shacks with beach beds where you can enjoy a full day.
THis is one of the cleanest beaches. Its lil far and hence may be the reason for its cleanliness. The water is also shallow hence you can get go farther away from the beach.
This is the best and safest beach in Goa. The water here is so clean that you would not find at any other beach. This beach is bit far from the city, so it would be less crowded as well. The depth of water here is not much, so you could go very much inside and enjoy at the fullest. You could easily get sun bed here from any restaurant by just buying single stuff from them. I would recommend to go to this beach in noon and enjoy till evening. You would not regret it!
one of the safest beach of goa...where u can go and enjoy with your kids..safest for kids...go for it...
Some time ago this beautiful and serene beach had to experience an oil spill. This led to different problems such as litter, mismanagement and the slow cleanup process. But when I visited this place with my family it was totally different and clean and well maintained now. Highly recommended!! Its away from tourist hustle. Get yourself some good Konkani sea food and ejoy with local goa beer.
one of the best beaches I have ever visited in India. Clean, safe and hustle bustle free!Mostly habiated by foreign tourists. The shacks serve good food and gave us the umrealla and bed free for a bill of Rs. 1000+ (else Rs 300 per bed in season)
Goa had been on my list of travels for a very long time and when I was given the opportunity I grabbed it and went to spend a few days there. Our tourguide took us to Morjim Beach for a day of relaxation. Well I was mighty disappointed. We took a hut at Planet Hollywood and got settled in. The place was not the cleanest and the change room(if you can call it that) as well as the bathroom was absolutely disgustingly dirty and inadequate. Maybe if we did not have our daughter with us, we might have settled for what was on offer, but nope I can let many a thing slide, but those facilities are priority. The drinks were warm at best and the food at the night market proved to be a better bet than that on the beach. Hubby had a look at the other shacks around us so as to relocate, but they proved to be in the same condition. Nevertheless our 9 year old was happy she was at the beach, but we did make a stay there much shorter. This experience did however not sour the rest of my Goan experience
great beach.. neat and clean water,, has scenic beauty..not vry crowded.. good shacks and eatables...
Although it has had some bad press as being dominated by Eastern Europeans (Lonely Planet) the fall of the rouble has changed this somewhat. We found it to be spotlessly clean, very friendly, wide open spaces, with local fisherman sharing the space with the tourists. Rather quiet beach - pleasantly surprised.
We chose a resort that was close to this beach with great hopes but they were all shattered when we visited the beach. The beach was shallow and muddy. The beach sand is so stiff that you can drive your vehicles as if you were riding on a road. There were absolutely nobody on the beach when we went there in September. So we had the entire beach for ourselves. We played football for some time.
