one of beautiful beaches in south goa.. beach does have some water sports and most importantly you will not find many people on the beach compared to the north goa beaches..
We had heard about the south goa beaches as the cleanest and nice beach. So we decided to pack our bags and hired a car to this location. This location is unlike other locations in Goa. The beaches are clean and shacks are good. However the food prices in these shacks are in higher side, may be due to foreign tourists. The easiest way to reach is by google maps and roads to this place is full of greenery. Good place to hangout from crowd and have a peaceful location.
Mobor beach stretches for miles, and with beach shacks that serve excellent food and drink, I feel this is the perfect beach for me!
We visited this beach during our stay at the Leela resort. It is directly connected to the resort and the resort has lots of beach beds placed there for their guests. The resort also has a restaurant at the beach front. The beach itself is very clean and has some water sports like Jet Ski, Banana ride for 4, tube ride for a couple, etc. The waves are nice and you can have a good time in the water. The sunset looks awesome from the beach, DO NOT MISS IT. There are other beach shacks also available for food options. Overall a good and clean beach but only worth visiting if you are staying in any of the close-by resorts.
Very neat and clean, sandy beach. Love to spend much time there...... Not very crowded and just like a private beach. Superb.
Lovely stretch of beach 20 minutes stroll from Cavelossim Village with a choice of 5 shacks. There is less hassle from the beach sellers on this stretch than on the main Cavelossim beach.
Amazingly beautiful beach, not too crowded, wide enough that people strolling on the beach are not casting a shadow on you when you are relaxing on the sunbed provided free by the shacks (as long as you order food from there). Life guards are present every 50 meters or so, and the water is good for swimming. No hawkers on the beach disturbing you for massage or clothes etc which is a plus. Would love to visit again
A gorgeous sandy beach, not overcrowded (although some beach shacks get busier than others!). The beach is lined with beach shacks that provide free sunbeds and umbrellas if you buy drinks or have lunch at their shack. Food and drink prices are very cheap so this is really no hardship! If you want to strike out on your own there is plenty of beach away from the shacks you can set up on. I found the sellers on the beach to be a real pain. Some don't take no for an answer and the police are not always around to keep them away. They bother you constantly, all day, every day. Some people are tolerant of this but I found constantly telling people "no" to the point of rudeness is not how I wanted to spend my holiday. I spent more time by the pool at my hotel. Having said that, the beach parties at the shacks are definitely worth going to, but take a torch to find your way back off the beach.
A very pleasant, relaxing place. Not overcrowded and beautiful scenery. Plenty of restaurants to eat. At nearby, including Fisherman's Wharf.
love cavelossim beach area . mostly visited by foreigners . not for people who want lot of shopping eating dirtying the beach. best beach in south goa .
this is a typical beach for persons who are staying at the shacks,at night its seems to be a bit isolated,so would be better to go in a group there.the sand is very fine good for castle building ;) there are rather good shacks like the vernons whete you can chill out
Mobor is one of the best beaches in south of Goa, often missed by many, its just one end of the south goa. Surrounded by sea on one side and the riverfront of the other side. A very very exclusive beach. Has top hogtesl like Leela, Holiday Inn etc. and some of thee best restaurants like FISHERMANS COVE right on the river, from where you can see the fish trade, and fish market on the other side. Boat rides, bike rides are easily available. Best ambience, many movies are shot on this beach, the crowd is great. These hotels sometime go for bonfire and evening dances etc. Wonderful beach to visit, good waves, and excellent scenery.
This beach mainly has crowd form Leela and Holiday Inn resort, but its quite and a clean beach to take a walk. Very peaceful and beautiful place. Don't forgot to carry some food, as there are very limited options available, also its too far from Colva and other city area, but the ride is beautiful.
This is a very beautiful beach with a very big and wide shoreline.Plenty of space for children to play and not crowded so can make very peaceful sunset viewing for the family together. You can also go out for a jog on either side of the shore. Been there both during the rains and peak holiday season and found it peaceful both the times. Its also surprisingly clean during the rains. Its also flanked by green hills on the southern side and zoomin through your camera you with notice something like a big ghost rock jutting out from the sea :)
We absolutely loved this beach. We arrived using the small (and partially unpaved road) that goes next to the Leela Palace. While the pretty awesome setting to the left with the palmtrees is for residents of that Palace only, there are many little shacks that provide chairs and sunshade. We went for Sam's, and it turned out to be a perfect choice. The beach was nearly empty, and very clean. The sand is very soft, and the water pretty clean, too. There seemed to be less dogs than further up north, and for sure less people bothering you. Prices in the shacks are the same as everywhere else: A bit more than usual, but hey, you're using their chairs and you're at a beach in Goa...
