Kok-Tube Hill在阿拉木图东南方,是登高远眺的好去处。天气晴朗时,来到山顶,全城风景尽收眼底。如果体力不佳,可以坐缆车上山,大概中午开到晚上10点,每15分钟一班。
"Kok Tobe" is translated as "Green Hill". There's a shuttlebus station, where you pay ~3$ for two way ticket. It's better to go there in the evening in summer, when Almaty is full of lights.Pros:- Deeply fresh air at the top of the hill.- Amazing view on mountains.- Almaty is like "on your palm" view.- Mini-Zoo is located righ there.- A trip to the famous sightseeing is cheap.- You will find a statue of the legendary "Beatles"! Yes, you won't believe it, but you will! :)- You'll also find an Apple statue ("Apple" is traditionally a symbol of Almaty city).Cons:- funicular railway was on reconstruction, that's why we took a taxi. Else you can go there by bus, taxi or a car. But going by funical railway is breath-taking.
After a long week full of worries and tense work this place is nice to sit, walk and rest. You can find some restaurants there but I must warn you that it is going to be quite expensive, so be ready to spend at least $30-40 per person just for some snacks or pizza and a couple of drinks. There is a ride for both adults and children which I find very dangerous and very expensive. I am really not sure about the safety during the ride. Despite all of these things I must say that the view is really breathtaking and it is worth going there at least for some fresh air.
fascinating - well worth the trip to the top.. and up there, fantastic restaurants and a lovely place to just wander around.
The best part for adult the bar at the end, food ok and have a beer watching the sun go downBest way there use the cable car ... Kids loved itThe amusements are a little kitch but it is Almaty so any goes as so often the way
Nice place to go on a sunny day with kids. Some of the attraction are free some you have to pay for, like climbing wall, shooting gallery, Segway, etc.
The cable car will take you through some of the best views around. It is a good place to go as part of your visit to Almaty.
Looks like it's a good place to visit in the summer., but to visit after the first snowfall and barely anything is open. Renovations, Closed attractions, nice restaurant but without everything on the menu & pricy. Also no cable car.and sad bare animal cages.
Unfortunately cable car is not working at the moment, probably rebuilding it, there is a bus a little further that takes you up&down for 500Tg. The view on the city side is amazing, however there is a lot of pollution over the city, at least when I was there, creating a heavy fog, but can be used well for pictures, a bit more of a challenge ;) then the view on the other side is pretty nice too. Go there to see the sunset !
The cable car is being rebuilt at the moment sadly - but take the replacement bus up to the top. There's a mini fair, rides, stalls, bars, a climbing wall, a zoo and fabulous views of the TV Tower and city. Recommended.
I took my 11 year old son here last weekend, overall, he enjoyed himself. But each ride has a different person working and they often tried to charge me more than what they did the next person. When I realized that someone was charging me double, I started to barter with each one, unless the price was posted. I soon found I could get a ride for cheaper than I thought. The rides were definately overpriced and not worth what I paid.We went to the nicer restaurant, the food was impressive, but the view and wifi was. After we ate I was still hungry and wishing we ate across from the rock climbing wall where there was a man grilling Shashlik, shis-ka-bobs. Favorites: The Swing next to the Beatles statue, Bumper Cars & Rock WallNote:We walked down the hill on the way down, it was a nice walk with some beautiful views along the way.
Take the Old cable car ride to the top of Kok-Tube hill. It will soon be closed and replaced fully with the new one. The Old one was built back in soviet 1970-s.
Poor value for money. The view wasn't that great. The amusement park facilities at the top are fairly low grade.
Well, as I live in Almaty I rarely go to Kok- Tobe. This place is interesting for people from other cities and countries. Ticket is not cheap, but I think it's fine. They also have a nice restaurant up there with nice view and atmosphere. Food is really nice, maybe we were lucky that day))) My advice is: don't expect too much from that place, have a nice dinner, take a walk, and just enjoy the view.I wish everyone to enjoy your time in our city no matter which places are you going to visit!)))
This is more a family oriented park. As well as rides, souvenir booths, there is a nice small zoo.The views of the city are great.
