全球首都多数都有河流穿梭经过，这条就是宽阔得多，正好把中间的岛留给外国人做酒店，给隔离开。登上酒店顶层可以俯瞰河流，看着没什么污染，河面平静，景观甚好

大同江的水很清澈，平壤的很多主要景点都围绕在江的两边，江边还停着一艘被朝鲜俘获的美军间谍船，如今也是热门的参观地点,如果你入住的是羊角岛酒店那么观赏江景的最佳地点其实就在你的房间,哈哈

The river itself is just a waterway. But it gives Pyongyang an additional layer of depth and beauty. Best seen from the Juche Tower and the restaurants on the shore.

Walking along the river, I can boldly say that there never have been a city less polluted than this. How it became so, is the readers guess, but also brings the thought that, fossil fuel is th greatest pollutant in the world!

We went for a walk along the river late in the afternoon on a weekday and there were not many People walking around except for people going home from work and workers engaged in the construction of a new river boat. We thought that we could have our dinner in one of the restaurant boats but they were all closed for business. Pyongyang is not a noisy city as it is and down by the river it is even quieter. We discovered that it was much windier along the river than in town so we regretted not bringing our jackets but otherwise a nice place for a relaxing walk.

We were "free" for a short period of time on a Sunday morning. So, we took a stroll down the wide concrete walkway along the river. There were numerous locals boating on the river as there were vendors renting small boats. People walking their dogs. Children running and playing. Typical Sunday scene of families enjoying a day of leisure. We had lunch on the "Turtle" boat which cruised the river while we ate.

Try Boat number 1. Lovely fish lunch with a short sail on the river and views of the cityscape. Downside was the ladies toilet door that did not shut!

The Taedong River was right outside my room and the source of many pictures that took out the window of the room. I was on another time zone so I was up at odd hours and surprized to see the lights of the city come on over the river each morning.

Don't recall much about the food but the views of the city at night were great.

... стоит Пхеньян. Конечно, не Волга-мать, но по корейским меркам очень даже полноводная и красивая. Идеально вычищенные набережные в северокорейской столице, немногочисленные в будни прохожие, тихие воды и фонтаны летом.

que nadie se imagine un río de ensueño. Sucio y contaminado, cruza la capital. Se puede ver desde las habitaciones del Hotel Yangdong. Para olvidar. De hecho a ningún turista se le lleva a ese río, excepto para alguna comida en un trasnochado hotel-restaurante, o cuando se visita el barco "pueblo".

Pyongyang no es Paris. Y el Rio Daedong no es el Sena. Que nadie pretenda encontrar bullicio, comida ni paseantes enamorados al lado del rio....

Nous avons marché le long de la rivière avec nos charmantes guides. Ce fut l'occasion de discuter avec elles de manière un peu plus décontractée et aussi de voir quelques scènes de vie quotidienne.Evidemment, comme ailleurs, les locaux vous ignorent et on ne peut pas tout prendre en photo...
