Robinson's Place Manila is going through a major facelift since 2014 catering more to the high end fashion market. The management also engaged more events which are better than the previous years. The mall is made out of the old Manila Mandarin hotel so the hotel wing boasts of its wide walkways, high ceilings and wide hall. This makes it ideal for events e.g. product and activity launches, promotional events and alike.Activities : Bowling, Fitness FirstEntertainment : Movies, ArcadeDining : Buffet, Casual and Fast Food, Food CourtShopping : Robinson's Department Store,Very good place for Phones and electronic gadgetsServices : Bank, Airline Ticketing, Travel and ToursGovernment Services : SSS, NBI, DFA Passport Applications/Renewals
Well the malls are huge here but this one 5 floors everything you could want . Restaurants are ok a few nice ones but mostly fast food some sit down but not fine dining. Every kind of American chain you could think of. Best part the towers attached is inexpensive apartment complex kitchens good rooms and very cheap. Pool .exercise. it has it all.
The Mall has been around ever since I could remember and has undergone change and expansion up to it's present state. Located in the middle of Manila, it would be a more convenient place to visit than the SM Manila or Mall of Asia and could be used as a vantage point to fan out and visit the surrounding area outside the mall. Within walking distance you'll find hotels, inns, apartments, small cafes, an old bookstore, money changers, bars, restos, curios shops and more. Inside, various shops and dining establishment could cater to your varying needs and taste. An interesting find though is a Japanese antique shop on the top floor of the Pedro Gil wing and may be worth the time to visit. Being in a tourist area, one won't fail to notice the number of foreigners frequenting the mall and would make any traveler comfortable. Security is very good and readily available for assistance or to address any inquiry on the mall or outside.
Well worth visiting if your in Manila. Very clean with a comprehensive range of shops and reastaurants. Always very crowded but a lot easier to get around than the Mall of Asia. Very safe though watch for pickpockets when crowded.
Robinsons Place Mall is located at the heart of Manila, along Pedro Gil cor Ermita. You can find everything you need from restaurant, food chain, grocery, department stores, fine dining, sports, gadgets, etc. It is well secured place , security guard at every entrance, police outpost is just a stone throw, 15-20 mins walk to US embassy along Roxas Blvd, 10min walk to mrt, accessible to all major transportation. 15 mins to Mall of Asia by taxi, 30 mins to Manila International Airport.
You will need more than one day to visit everywhere in this mall. There are many restaurants to choose from.
This place had been here for several decades but relatively being updated from time to time to cater to it's customers. I can't think of a "substitute" mall for it in this Manila district for it's accessibility to private and public transport, differentiated tenants that cater for B, C & D customers, and it's variety of food choices from it's vast food stalls and dedicated restaurants/coffee shops. It also has several floors of parking slots but becomes full at noon. Although it has a department store and many specialty shops, I think the most successful businesses here are the food stalls/restaurants, and the supermarket. Foreigners I think feel safe here, because you can see them everywhere in the premises. Go there late in the afternoon and see for yourselves.
Going to this mall is quite a challenge from me cause I live a bit far. However, mode of transportation is always availabke so that's a giid point. Whenever I want to eat something good or a different cuisine I make sure I visit this mall. It is a place where loads of foreigners and tourist visit because also of its location. The vicinity has an array of bars and pubs and mostly good restaurant.
You can shop here and eat for lunch and dinner. Easy accessible by taxi and public transport. big parking area for visitors with cars.
This shopping mall is excellent... alot of stores that having their christmas sales and this is very convenient for me as I've stayed at eurotel pedro gil just across this mall.
Clean, safe, great A/C a wide choice of clean western restaurants. Boutiques, department stores, major brands - a great place to spend an afternoon / evening if the hot Manila air gets to you. There's a cinema too and many ATM machines (safe to use). You have to pass through security to enter the guard will glance inside your bag and check your waist (I guess to ensure you have no gun). A great place
Rob place Manila is my favorite mall since it is walking distance to where I live in Malate. For the past 2 years, while they boldly advertize the fact that they have again been awarded 'best managed company' for the second year in a row, their escalators are more often than not out of order!!!
We love going to Robinson's Manila because it has all the shops we like to visit like Rustan's, Marks and Spencer's, Mango, Charles and Keith, National Bookstore, etc. And there are a lot of restaurants to choose from when you get hungry. It is also a nice place to walk in and get some exercise because it is not too crowded. You also do not have to worry about being robbed, it is safe. The only thing I don't like is shopping for groceries there because of the narrow isles.
I just love the Sushi Train cafe at Robinsons. In fact I have really enjoyed eating at a number of the food outlets available. The money changer upstairs feel safe because of the security at the entry's to the mall.
