圣奥古斯丁博物馆

这个博物馆其实就是一个老教堂改建而成的，原来的教堂入口有点阴森森的感觉，整个教堂的感觉让人有点感觉不太舒服，不过里面墙上的壁画倒是很精美的，二楼有个巨大的管风琴，这里是付费参观的景点，400年历史还是值得一看的！

教堂在市中市里面，应该是属于当地的爱国教育基地，因为参观的时候有很多当地学校带学生参观，并且有讲解员认真的想学生讲解。进入大门就有一股严肃的气息，不能拍照，交通展示了天主教的历史，从展示的雕像到墙上的壁画都可以看到天主教对当地影响是非常的大，教堂有三层，第一层是一些雕像和教堂，第二层是属于博物馆，有中国的陶瓷，古代的衣服等等，值得一去。

差点错过的博物馆，里面有丰富的大航海时期的展览，包括西班牙的壁画，圣母像，运输的瓷器，航海仪器，帆船模型，地图等等，特别精彩

This place is very interesting and must see when you are visitng Intramuros. We visited them in March 2015 and during our visit, renovation was already done for second floor and it was amazing. I think that when renovation is fully done, this place will marvelous peace of history of Manila

Stopped by here as part of a intramuros tricycle tour. Did not go into the museum, but did go into the church. It's worth the stop.

This museum feels as if a lot of thought and care has gone into it. It's also has much better lighting than many other museums I have visited in SE Asia. If you have any interest in history you're sure to find something to interest you here.

The museum is undergoing a major refurbishment, but even in its yet unfinished state, it is already worth a visit.

TA, rather confusingly, list three attractions in Intramuros as San Agustin Church, San Agustin Monastery, and San Agustin Museum. The vast majority of tourists probably see all three simultaneous. The church is still a working church, but unless you come for mass on Sunday, the doors to the church will be closed. The former monastery is now a museum, and when you go to the museum, you see religious paintings on the monastery walls circling round the garden, exhibits off the main walkway AND the church via a side entrance. As well as the crypt and a few other things. I've already reviewed the church--it is the #1 place I would recommend any visitor to Manila to see; excellent in every rating category. Since it's part of the museum admission, that means that the museum (including the church) is also excellent in every category. If I were rating the museum alone--without the church--I'd still rate it very good. Some of the art is unusual and some of the architecture is notable: particularly the grand staircase. But if you go to the museum, barring something extraordinary occurring, such as a requiem mass for a deceased bishop, your primary reason for going to the museum is that it includes the church, and it actually is housed in the monastery.

It dumbfounds me there were no crowds here with all of the thingsto see. Many 100+ year old paintings and other artifacts that date back centuries. Well worth a visit to see some of this history.

The museum is on two levels surrounding an open courtyard, which is part of the church itself. The architecture alone, with its stone walls and stairs, is enough to evoke a sense of time travel. Artifacts, paintings, and sculptures all have religious themes and are generally from the Spanish colonial period, dating from the 16th century. Highlight for me was the preserved vellum songbook displayed as it may have been at the choir loft, with its original wooden flooring, overlooking the pews below. Though technically not part of the museum, there is also a mauseleum with a memorial for the priests and civillians who were executed within the church's premises by the occupying forces during World War II.

It is on a UNESCO's list of world heritage Spanish baroque churches of the Philippines, it is the oldest church in the country, the only large structure to have survived the orgy of destruction at the end of the second world war when most of colonial Manila was bombarded, and it is just stunning. It does not have a golden baroque altar of other Spanish colonial churches like those in Quito (two Italian painters managed to produce gorgeous trompe l'oeil), but this church is absolutely beautiful. Do also explore the adjacent convent/museum which houses a very good and comprehensive collection of Filipino/Spanish religious art.

There is a lot to see. If you like paintings, architecture, sculpting and are curious about history and religion, you really want to check this one.

The minimal entry fee is worth every peso - must see if you're visiting the church itself. Allow at least 1 hour.

if you would like to know some of the history of the philippines most notably as it relates to the church then come visit this place. it is the biggest catholic church museum in the philippines with many artifacts.it is near fort bonifacio and an old house is in front which is also a museum you can visit to know about life in the 18th century manila. there is also a restaurant at the front and sides which serve fil-spanish cuisine.

This is a unique museum that houses a different collection - one that shows you more of the history of Intramuros. Unique and worth the visit
