Very amazing! it tells me a lot of the History. Proving that before there was Philippines, there was really BUTUAN!
An interesting statue to see, some nice views from the bridge in and a black sand beach greet you at the end of a bumpy dirt road.
despite the lack of infrastructure whatsoever to maintain the way a ridable (considering the amount of people who need and use it and their regularity it's a real shame that nothing is done to improve those road)...it is one of the most convenient access to the seashore.i love the get a walk there
Magellan's Landing is on a small beach NW of Butuan. A small statue is there signifying the event. The beach is lined will food stalls and it is a nice place to grab a bit to eat. The beach itself is rather dirty, but it is still a good place to go and escape the city for a couple of hours. The best way to get there is to rent a Trike and driver for 1/2 day from town. (You will be able to get the best deal from drivers parked near the Mall). While you are out, combine this trip with the Balangay Museum and/or the Nipa Wine Distilleries.
