Although it is extremely difficult to get to (especially if you're on a budget!) this place is worth the effort. Beautiful little island that is not overrun by tourists. There is tons to do! I hired a scooter which is the best way to get around the island and ensure that you see everything. You can go around the whole island in a few hours if you don't stop too often. The highlights for me were the White Island and the Ardent Hot Springs. If you have the time to spare make sure go for at least a couple of days!

We were able to explore Camiguin island and I must say it is second to Batanes for me for being the most relaxing and beautiful islands in the Philippines. Worth the cost of going there.

Great island, beautiful and with lots to do and see!! Climb a vulcano, see the falls, snorkling, diving, rent a scooter (300-350/day) and cruise around the island. One thing: ATM only accepts visa, no mastercard so make sure you bring enough money. There is an option to get cash from a shop (bonito), but they'll charge 10%.

Although it was spoilt somewhat by the weather, it was apparent that Camiguin was a very beautiful island, with many attractions, natural and man made to see. Will put it on the list to revisit in better weather in the future.

Camiguin Island has so much to offer ....We took a plane fr. Manila to CDO then a ferry boat to Camiguin. Unfortunately I would not advise the ferry boat. Next time we will opt to take the Manila to Cebu then Cebu to Mambajao, Camiguin flight. Our multicab trip around the island was good and Criz (#09215637788) knew the history of the places we went to. Food is delicious ( except for Sto Nino Spring "paluto"). We did not know there was a good resto inside Sto. Nino (Pops Diner) - my mistake! Here are the places we went to : 1st day (1/2 day) Katibawasan Falls, Ardent Hot Spring. Day 2: White Island, Tuasan Falls , Sto. Nino Cold Spring, Old Volcano Pathway, Church Ruins..Come & visit Camiguin ....it will be worth your time & money. The Island awaits u ! By the way we stayed at Paras Beach Resort ...good hotel with good food too.

From the moment we saw Camiguin from the plane we knew that we were in for something special. White island looking stunning and the mountains and volcanoes shrouded in cloud. It is so special being driven on roads that aren't overcrowded and not strewn with litter. It is so brilliant to see an island where they are proud of who they are and where they live. It is a bit of a shame that there are not any buses that you can just jump on and visit other parts of the island without spending a lot of money on minicabs. We did get to visit the springs and waterfall on the south west side of the island today. The soda spring was worth the effort, so refreshing even though it was more developed than I'd like. Then we went on to Tuasan Falls, we'd heard that they had put in 'better' access but were horrified at what we found. The falls were splendid but the catastrophic damage they have inflicted on the environment here made our hearts sink. Not to mention the road that they are cutting across the island is a disaster waiting to happen even if you could get past the enormous environmental impact. We have a few more days here but am less enthused after what we saw today. The weather and the expense of climbing the volcano means that is prohibitive for most. Maybe a trip to Mantigue Island or just chilling in the peace to look forward to.

If you are the traveler who wants to experience simplicity and diversity then Camiguin is for you. There is no active night life like what you see in Boracay. But there are restaurants, resorts, dive clubs, etc. Of course Camiguin is well known for the Lanzones but is seasonal. You can go see 3 types of waterfalls, they got hot and cold springs which are so relaxing. You can go to mantigue island and go snorkling or go to white island which is a sand bar a few minute a way. Go mountain hiking by trek or mountain bike or even rent a motor bike to explore the many volcanoes in the island. camiguin is the Hawaii of the Philippines. Enjoy!!

if you love a quite island, away from the big city. camiguin is for you. hotels and small restaurant is available. and if you are planning to roam the island you can rent a motorcycle and you can drive for yourself. the place is safe and so quite. the road is good and passable. and some attraction is not well develop.

For such a small island (you can circle the whole island in 3 hours non-stop), it has so much to offer. Cold spring, hot spring, a sand bar(white island) across, and ruins sites. Refreshing to take a dip in the cold springs and beneficial too because of the sulfur content of the hot spring. The fresh tuna (huge!) sold on the street made our trip a gastronomic delight! Freshness unequaled!

I like the hot springs and the cold springs. Snorkeling and diving spots are also great. It's interesting to note that this is a volcanic island. Mountain climbing is also great. The tourist attractions are quite far from each other. Next time I come visit, I would like to bring my own car.. or jog.. or rent a mountain bike.. or hike!

Within the small island of Camiguin, who would have thought that this island has seven volcanoes, thus calling it Born of Fire. One of the most popular attraction here is the Sunken Cemetery. It was in the late 1800s when the Mt. Vulcan erupted and nearly submerged the town of Catarman, including the church and a cemetery. This part of the town is now marked with a huge cross, and anyone who wants and dares to dive into this submerged town is welcome. Prepare to see tombs completely submerged under the water, and be amazed.Another popular tourist attraction in Camiguin is the White Island. A short island strip at the center of the ocean. The boat ride may be a little rocky, but the view and the island itself is truly breathtaking. For some cool and refreshing attraction, go to Katibawasan Falls. Be prepared though because the fresh water is really cold. In contrast, there’s Ardent Hot Spring, heated by Mt. Hibok-Hibok, an active volcano in the island.
