For only 30 Pesos this is a great place to relax. Soaked for hours. This place is the best cure for aching muscles...
The water is so refreshing. You can relax and enjoy the place. The entrance fee is so affordable and is clean.
Relaxing. Nice dip for a few minutes at first but once you are used to the warmth then you will stay more time enjoying. A nice therapy for people who suffer from arthritis. It is a bit farther from the center but a hired jeepney can be more convenient.
when you're in the Island of Camiguin, I suggest this is the last itinerary for the day so you can relax yourselves after a whole day of touring the island.
We were there on Feb 24 which was a rainy drizzling day. The water was NOT as hot as we had expected, The sign said 38C but there was no way it was near that temperature. A young couple from the area said it used to be so hot you could barely put your toe in, obviously the rain had diluted the spring water somewhat. There was no noticeable sulfur smell and the water was clear to the botom of the pool. The rocks around the pool can be slippery when wet, especially in rain. The setting is on the side of a mountain in lush green vegetation. There are huge nets over the pool to keep any leaves from entering the water. The Ardent Hot Springs is an excellent place to finish off a long day touring the island.
It's actually warm water but it really relaxes the body after a whole day travelling within the island....we stayed for an average of two hours per visit....
I headed to the Hot Springs after riding around on a scooter in the pouring rain for a few hours. It wasn't as hot as I thought it would be, it just felt like a nice warm bath. Apparently it's open 24 hours and if I had more time I definitely would've gone for a night time dip.
We did not get to enjoy much. I think we only stayed for under 30 minutes. The place was overcrowded (peak season) so it was difficult to find a spot to dip in. The water was also unclear (maybe because it was crowded). In non-peak season, it might be better.
We spent the early evening at Ardent Springs! It was truly relaxing, the natural warm water is clear and clean. There are lifeguards that look over you so you can be safe even on the deep 6 foot pools.
We went here during the night and we had a relaxing time just lounging around the hot spring. Entrance fee was cheap. A bit dark though since there was not enough light outside of the spring area.
I love the hot water. The entrance fee is cheap. The pools are small but it can accommodate several people. I ordered a beef stew and the taste is good. I think the visit was worth it.They also have rooms so it is good to stay overnight.
We stayed at Ardent while visiting Camiguin, and spent a fair bit of time in the Hot spring pools. There are around 5 of them of varying depths, and depending on the time of day, varying amounts of people. First thing in the morning the place is nearly empty and this was probably the best time to visit, for all other times of the day and night the place is packed with people visiting for a few hours which leaves it quite cramped. You can hire huts if you want to spend a lunch or dinner there, and there is plenty of places to bbq food. I would still recommend a trip, the water isn't 'hot' hot but it is still very warm and very relaxing, my mother in law has bad arthritis and she spent almost all of our 3 days in the rockpools, and it was all she could talk about for months after our trip.
Very good to spend some hours there. We was there on a sunday, little crowdy there. Possible to bring food, and have family dinner.
