I went here with young children and they loved the place. There are a lot of activities to do:BeachInfinity swimming poolForestFishingBikingThe food was reasonably priced and quite good. Service too was very good.Overall, one whole day should be enough since the accommodations are on the high side.
A wonderful place to stay for a few days, if you want to unwind in tranquility and privacy or try a variety of activities. You can have a swim at the sea since it is a beachside resort, or have a dip at the pool beside the restaurant… enjoy the works of art (paintings indoors and sculptures outdoors) by a famous local artist. There is a fishing pavilion, a jungle trail, a riverboat cruise and while I was there, they were preparing for a halloween night in the forest! Excellent staff and tasty local food that is grown or harvested from around this banana plantation. The cottages have the feel of nature yet still enjoy the comforts of a luxury hotel.
Thanks Banana beach for a great stay! I stayed here with my family and had an amazing time. Staff were friendly and helpful and we even managed to exclusively shoot at their Shooting range yet to be opened. Each family member was relaxed and had so much fun. The resort was clean and maintained well. Acvtivities were affordable! i managed to paddleboard, kayak, tour in the forest where wild monkeys roam, Shoot a rifle in a range and of course lounge around near the beautiful pool (to name a few). Food was great and served nicely. Staff were alert and well trained. Thanks again for an awesome stay.
the entrance fee of php700 per person is quite expensive for me since we were just dropping by to get an early breakfast and relax a bit before we proceed to our next destination. But the place is great for relaxation and maybe a dip in the pool. I didn't get to see much of the place though as we were all so tired from our roadtrip from sorsogon 26hrs earlier.
Proud to say this recreational haven is one promising paradise of my very own hometown-Tagum City. It has beach obviously, pool, inland resort, fish ponds (catch-eat-pay), restaurant, botanical/vegetable garden, treetop walk, nature trails and a lot more in progress. Formerly, the majority of the area covers the banana plantation but due to the high salinity content of the soil, the bearing fruits are beyond poor to that of the import/export qualities of banana in the country. Thus, the owner decided to replace the bananas with coconuts and it's now conspicuously booming. Moreover, the most preferable and thrift way to enjoy the venue for one whole day is to avail their Consumable Pass package. It will cost a standard rate of Php 750 but Php500 only for residents of Davao del Norte and Comval province (as of this writing). The package is consumable on food and drinks, activities, equipments and other facilities. Banana Beach is unique for the simple reason it has a beach in the middle of the resort ! I must say that this was the only dissapointment ! It has black vulcanic sand and the water is not clear although very warm.It makes up for this with the infinity pool located in the center of the resort ,very clean , plenty of space child friendly with life gaurd and a swim up bar.Activities include various tours , quad and mountain biking, kayaking,Massage, paddle board, frizzbie and there are charges all though not expensive. They have 15 rooms at different levels of comfort , you get complimentary toiletries and mosquito repellant creme as they do tend get to much in the evening.Staff are all very friendly and helpful they have two restos cuisine is mostly local dishes but kitchen very clean and standards very good. The resort is very easy to get to only an hour or so from Davao city , there is a pick up service for a very small cost in and air conditioned vehicle .On the whole it is very worthwhile visiting weather with your family or just a peacefull weekend with your partner ☺
They have better accommodation than Pearl Farm. If my husband gets his way we're not leaving the bungalow.Cheaper food too. Lots of reasonably priced and varying activities. Did the forest tour. I'm glad I did. Will be back to try out other activities.
We got lost trying to find this place. We passed by a banana and coconut plantation. The pool was nice. Plus it is just a few meters away from the beach. It has black sand. We arrived at around 6 pm that's why they did not allowed usanymore to swim at the beach. But they allowed us and even extended out time at their infinity pool. Very near our hotel in Tagum. Entrance fee is consumable. Service is slow. Overpriced food.
This resort is priced as if it is on Samal, Even several places on samal, are much cheaper then this place: Bluwater Resort, Holiday Resort, Bluejazz to name a few. This has black sand beach.. which isn't really worth the swim.. at high tide the coast line is basically gone.. so its more like a river style experience. the pool is nice, but its not worth the price. if your in tagum and you want to go to a black sand beach, you can go to Hijo Retiree Beach for 10p per person... then rather waste 750P per person here.. you cannot bring your own food here either.. All in all this is the most overly priced place I have ran across hear, your money is better spent going to Samal Island, or try the resorts in Mabini about an hour from tagum, much better places in either place. The only thing I say that this has that not many other places have, is they allow you to go fishing and will cook what you catch. ( though you have to pay for what you catch ).This place is for sure not worth the price tag.. the room rates should be able 1000P less they they are.. there weekend rates are the same as staying at BlueJazz's Fiji room
We stayed for 4 nights and selected one of the new bungalows. The bungalow was very good indeed. Spacey, clean, modern with air con minibar and nice bathroom. The restaurant was so so and rather slow. Need improvement both in quality and management . Pool was very good but cleaning should be done during night and not in the morning when guests are eager to swim. The long beach was nice. We tried river trip, jungle adventure and also visited the plantation. All quite nice and interesting.A good place for a family gathering. My review is for the resort.
Banana beach is an hour drive from davao city.Very huge with coconut planatation, you can do finshing too, 1 hour tour to the forest , the hanging bridge , close encounter with monkeys n wild pigs. The entrance fee is 750 php and its consumable we used ours for food and forest tour but dont go there hungry bec. It tkes forever for them to serve the food they said 45minutes but its not .Theres an infinity pool too.. too bad we didnt bring swim suits for they are strict for proper clothes to wear on the pool. The best part of it was the forest tour i was amaze wih all the old trees unique roots and bigger trees...The staff are nice n freindly too...
Pool was nice, ride through the jungle and 'tree-top' experience were fun. Had a great half-day. While I hate this 'corkage' idea the Phils continues to push, we had a great time. The places to sit and eat (away from the pool) left much to be desired, but it's forgivable, I guess.
For a very expensive fees on this beach to an ordinary gray-sand beach not worth. But for the forest tour and d amenities its worth.
Banana beach is such a lovely place to spend the summer. There are a lot of activities to do. They have both land and water adventures. The river cruise is an awesome experience. The Spot is a nice place to relax while catching fresh fishes.
Room: casita big and spacious linens and sheets are soft and comfy. Bathroom was big also, however i find the rate expensive. Their are other type of accomodation which is cheaper tho there are no close bathroom on it i find it hassle if you will stay overnight.Food: this is what i remembered there are foods that are tasty there are also dishes which the meat are so hard to chew by the way the dessert named monkey tail one of their house specialty . It seems that its an over ripe banana covered on a chocolate thing. I dont like the taste we ordered 2 a total of 4 pcs. And everythin has the same taste.Location: inside a banana/ coconut plantation the place is huge it seems their still developing the area . Pool is ok during our stay few guests are there so we enjoyed the pool most of the time by ourselves. I wasnt able to try to swim at their beach but looks its clean but dont expect crystal clear water and fine sand. They also have this guided tour around the area i recommend this one to see the whole place it was just also an average experience.Staff: accomodating , tend to your needs right away Overall: on that place this is already a nice resort but if you used to go to other places then dont expect too much. But worth a try...
