bucana beach

the current here is strong, and the shoreline has been dug deep by the waves. Not for night swimming as it is pretty much dangerous.

My wife's family and I decided to have a barbeque at Bucana beach as it was close to town and the beach we normally go to is about 20mins out of town and we didnt feel like travelling that far. It is a lil bit hard to find, the entrance is closed off and if you dont know where u are going you might think it was someones house and drive right past. When we arrived we found we had the beach to ourselves so it was for privacy. Unfortunately this also meant there was nowhere to buy drinks and fuel for a barbeque, we ended up sending one of my nephews back up the road on a motorbike to get supplies. The beach itself is nice looking, although the sand is that black colour rather than a white or brown sand, as an aussie this is pretty unappealing to me, and there was quite alot of rubbish around. The place is nicely located and with a bit of work could be much better, but it looks like whoever looks after the place isnt doing a very gppd job and has let the place slip. If your looking for nicer beaches its best to head out of town in either direction about 20mins (hoyohoi beach), or if u are really keen head to White beach at initao (around 1 hour north on the way to cagayan).

It is simpel and i saw it improve every time i visit .It has no luxe , bring your own food , drinks you can buy

Een van mijn favorieten , maar geen luxe. Gewoon strand , breng jeeten mee, Drinken koop je daar .Geen luxe , koude douche , maar ik zit er bijna dagelijks als ik inIligan ben .Timoga bad of Maze park is prijzig , en druk .
