merloquet falls

I thought this beautiful place is just stone throw away, but its not. When you come here, you need to travel at least 78ms, from Zamboanga City to Vitali, and another 14kms, from Vitali goping in to Brgy Sibulao where Merloquet falls is located.The road going in is mostly cemented, there are tolerable areas that are not. Road signs are not that good since we lost twice, first going to and second, going home.I use an Avanza, 1.5G M/T, with three passengers inside and luggages, going there, and it's a hard work for the car since it is elevated. It would be best if you go there with a 4 wheel drive car. Parking lot is provided for 20pesos. Entrace fee is 5pesos/head, and cottage rent is 100pesos.catch of this visit: there are 357 steps going down the falls. if you are not healthy enough it will be much of a struggle if you are going up. I suggest they put an elevator or escalator or a cable car.

Merloquet falls is indeed one of the best destination not only of Zamboanga City but also of the Zamboanga Peninsula at large.
