Always enjoy visiting places of worship, regardless of the religion. This masjid is quite striking with its pink and gold coloring. Worth a look for the architectural style alone.

Saw this mosque while on city tour and it is near India street (famous for cheap shopping). Worth no more than a walk past really.

We stopped for Maghrib prayer. The facilities are great. Parking also available in the mosque compound. The mosque also very easy to locate nearby the waterfront.

pink and gold quite like a perfect match of colour! visited kuching mosque, entering the compound and experience or learn about the religion, mosque history or even the cemeteries! good for walking tour :) in facts, its near to the city!

The Mosque is of impressive architecture. We didn't actually enter the mosque but appreciating it from the outside and to walk around the vicinity is great enough. The day and night scene of the mosque are equally stunning!

We drove past as part of our city tour and we were astounded at the size and detail of the building and the size of the cemetry, very impressive, worth a visit!

The mosque is quite nice especially for its position and the cemetery on the hill. If you are in Kuching it is quite nice to see it.

Let me start by stating I am not Muslim and therefore decided to not go I dude the mosque as I didn't feel it was right of me to do so, though our guide said that as long as you are dressed properly and all it is fine to visit inside as unlike many other places it is encorouged to learn about the history and culture. The mosque itself though has good river views and has a cemetery full of history in front. Definitely worth having a guide for this one!

The District mosque of Kuching which is set out in a remarkable location overlooking the river and surrounded by a cemetery, located conveniently in downtown and fairly easy to get to. Inside of the mosque is fairly plain and simple with very nice views of the river from the inside and outside. The Mosque needs urgent attention, the paintwork needs to be redone and the dome cladding is falling apart as well as the surface concrete.I would still recommend visitors to come to the mosque and learn about the local way of life as muslims make up 20-23% of the local community.

A must see place, gives some understanding of the differences between Malaysian and middle eastern Islamic architecture. To gain a fuller understanding though the must see place is the Islamic Museum in KL.

I have been to this mosque since my schooling days way back 1983. Centrally located and nicely built. In front of the mosque is the Muslim cemetery. View onto the river is just superb especially at dawn.

The Mosque was built to replace the old one, and judging by pictures of the previous structure is not an improvement, except that it holds more people. Worth no more than a walk past really, thought the adjoining cemetry is interesting. Right by the bus station at the end of India Street.

Lovely mosque, was fortunate enough to pray inside it. Had a non Muslim friend with us who was also allowed in during the prayer time. The view from the windows onto the river are gorgeous make sure u have a look .

This museum is full of rather old and faded stuffed animals etc. though does have a few interesting exhibits, including a watch recovered from a crocodile after it had eaten the owner !

Wander down the pedestrianized India Street, turn left and "wow" you are facing Kuching's most beautiful mosque. On a rise above the river bank and surrounded by a Muslim cemetery, it is a sight not to be missed while walking through compact old town Kuching. Adjacent to the mosque grounds is an old ship yard from the colonial era that is worth a peek.
