Went by hire car 1.5 hours from Indian Bay. Interesting journey and stopped at lovely Black Point Tunnel on the way. Salt pond lovely and full of fish. Need water shoes and snorkelling gear to get the most of the salt pond. Son got stung on hand by a black sea urchin so be careful. Luckily I had painkillers and the staff gave some cream to help alleviate pain. Took our own food and drink which I advise. Steep steps down to beach.

My husband and I took a taxi from villa area to salt pond. It was $150USD for the 1/2 day trip. It took about an hour and a half to get there but well worth it. We had an awesome time!!! We dipped in the cool, shallow waters, enjoyed the beautiful views and peaceful sounds. After a couple of hours we had a light lunch, which we brought with us (I recommend doing so, in addition to plenty of water). The facilities (washroom) were very clean. I think we paid something like $2 to use them.
