Well kept gardens ideal for photo shoots. View from the top of the monument gives you a 360 tour on Santiago. You could use the viewers installed on top to identify landmarks in the city. A historic account of the Restauracion using museum displays. Elevators were out of service so you have to climb up the stairs to the top (4-5 stories). this is exhausting for people with disabilities and old age.

This place offers a spectacular view of the city and the nearby mountains. There is rather an inexpensive fee to enter the tower an museum. It has several representations of the dominican history and offers a good place to know about the founding fathers of the Dominican Republic. It is a rather quick visit if you are in a hurry.
It is enough. It is so hot that you feel like melting down as butter. The monument identification is limited and there is not kind is summary preparation to understand what you are observing.I won't repeat the visit.

It's a very beautiful building. I recommend going twice: once in the daytime when you can enter and take in the view from inside the building, and then at night when it is lit. At night it's a very romantic spot, and I would recommend taking some special in a carriage ride around the monument.
Is a big place and you can see almost the hole city from the top of the monument. there are a lot up restaurant around the monument and places to share.
A cool looking monument that you can walk through. You will be charged if you are not a local (around $5-10) . It's not an all day kind of thing, but don't be afraid to flag down a local with a cooler to purchase a cold presidente!
Beautiful place to visit in Santiago. I was here in July 2012, and it was an amazing place. Monumento a los Heros is worth a visit if you're staying in Santiago.
