Excellent place to go when looking to see a play with local and or international actors. Most of the plays have very good scripts and the admission fees are a very good deal.

It is a nice place, not extraordinary. Most of the shows are good Worth the experience. The parking is a bit crazy. They do not know how to park. Even is this is a first capital of the New World. NO ESTACIONES, means park wherever in the hell you want. They do not pay consequences.

The parking is great and well off the street, the seating, lighting, and air conditioning are all fantastic. Makes for a very enjoyable evening out and good viewing of the performance.

cozy theater with food and live music just outside. You get a real feel of the local bohemian culture. Not touristy.

Attended a popular music concert while visiting on business and experienced a perfectly run show in terms of lighting, sound and comfort. The hall was packed and everyting flowed with great order and timeliness. Dominican musicians are very talented and is showed.

This is a very beautiful place, very elegant and dispite of its long time in use, it remains with a magical escence to see great plays.

The National Theatre is a shared building connected to theFine Arts building. It was also constructed under Trujillo, I believe.I was able to see several plays during a theatre festival some while back, but they also seem to show quite a lot of more commercial theatre and especially musicals. Wonder what those are like. Recently they seem to have shown Godspell.

I was in a business trip in Santo Domingo and got an invitation to a theater play at Teatro Nacional. I found a very friendly environment where people meet, have small conversations and hug each other before going into the hall. The play started sharp on time. The service was very good. The temperature and seats were very comfortable.

It was created in the likes of the great theatres of the world!

Maravilhoso, o local super bem conservado para o período de construção. As recordações do passado e sua fachada são maravilhosos e possui uma história rica de arquivos.

Quiero contarles que hace unos días hemos tenido la oportunidad de visitar el Teatro Nacional Eduardo Brito, de Santo Domingo, una experiencia muy buena y recomendable para cualquier persona que se sienta atraída por la cultura.En nuestro caso lo hicimos por la mañana con la inestimable ayuda del Sr. Rafael Vásquez, quien lleva 39 años trabajando en el Teatro y de forma totalmente gratuita nos enseñó la sala principal Carlos Piantini y demás dependencias, hasta los camerinos! La visita la hicimos acompañados de una amiga ex Miss España, que junto a su esposo rememoraron aquella elección de Miss Mundo que tuvo lugar en este teatro en el año 1977.Cabe decir que cualquier persona que estuviera interesada en hacer una visita de este tipo lo puede hacer pidiendo previa cita por e-mail a las autoridades del Teatro Nacional, es gratuita.La sala principal cuenta con capacidad para 1500 personas. Lo más destacable de todo ha sido sin duda la hospitalidad y amabilidad de sus autoridades y personal en general a los cuales estamos muy agradecidos.

Lamentablemente en esta ocasión no puede disfrutar de un bue acto teatral, puesto que que fui estando cerrado, pero vi sus estructura y arquitectura y me gusto mucho es muy elegante y sobrio, espero que en mi próxima visita puede ver una obra
