Accra is an excellent beach with soft sand, rolling waves and some light shade. Truly a stunning place and in my top three Barbados beaches (Crane, Miami, Accra).My biggest issue with Rockley Beach is with the vendors who rent chairs/umbrellas pushing people around who are using towels. In Barbados, you have a right to put your towel on the beach (unlike the US, no person has any ownership of the beach) but the vendor insisted I move because he has a license. When I refused he became incredibly rude and threatened police, when I called his bluff he then put chairs all around me. I saw him continue doing this to other tourists who put a towel on the beach and chasing them off. If this happens, file a complaint with http://www.nccbarbados.gov.bb/contact as the vendors are now infringing on your right to use the beach.Please don't misunderstand, I'm all for free enterprise and the vendors making a living. Vendors have rights too. But dogging people around the beach, insisting that they move because you wish to put a chair in the spot is a clear violation. It's truly a shame if the local commission is turning a blind eye to this sort of behavior.

During our 8 days in Barbados, we checked out 4 beaches... this became our go-to! The sand is soft and the beach is clean, without rocks or coral... nice to walk on and easy in and out. The surf is calmer in the morning and revs up in the afternoon. Everything you might need is right there... beach chairs and umbrellas to rent... very reasonable...$25US for 6 chairs and 2 umbrellas! Little shops selling their souvenirs; tiki huts selling lunch and drinks very handy or the beach restaurant has amazing food too; across the street is Chefette which had a VERY impressive salad bar and next door a grocery store to buy beer, rum and mix. LOVE the area. The beach is probably close to 1KM but then the boardwalk will take you as far as you want to go! And the SUNSET... WOW!!!! We will definitely consider this area for our next visit! Check out this beach... you won't be disappointed!

Everything a Caribbean Beach should be. Beautiful white sand with bars within easy reach for a beer and a snack. Enjoyed Jason's food and drink quite a few lunchtimes. Swimming, walking, reading and sunbathing, most enjoyable.

Yes, it is crowded but we never had an issue finding a chair and umbrella. The guys that rent them out are very quick and helpful.Lots of food and souvenir vendors there.There is a washroom too. Don't forget to grab your TP as you walk in. They don't put TP in the stalls there (?)Water was incredible. Warm, turquoise, wonderful.IMPORTANT: The water is VERY rough at times. It pulls you to deeper areas that are tough to get out of in the farther areas and the shorebreak waves (swells that start to curl over) can hurt you. I, unfortunately, sustained whiplash and concussion from a wave that was in four feet of water. Wishing I was more careful on that beach with every chiropractor appointment, and day that goes by.Still a great beach though!

Just to crowded, there are other beaches with less visitors. Beach is nice, a lot of vendors around, food, fruits, but for us to crowded.

Friendly beach staff provide loungers and umbrellas, there is a lifeguard station, Local beach bars and shops close by, Chefette if required just across the road.Swimming can be fun and there is a reef just off shore for snorkelers to view tropical fish in their natural environment, but sea is not suitable for non swimmers as it can get a little rough at times.

This beach is known on the Island as both Rockley and Accra. It is located in a fantastic spot and buses stop right at the entrance. Across the street is Chefette who have an amazing salad bar which is freshly stocked each day. The price is more than reasonable. On the beach itself you can also purchase food and drinks or eat at the lunch trucks that stop every day with monster portions of home made food for $10. There is so much that this beach offers that you really don't have to venture any further. Umbrellas and chairs are rented for your comfort and protection from the hot sun. David is closest to the Accra Hotel and we always rent from him. If you do tell him Fran and Al say hi from Canada and we miss our beautiful Island.

This is a great beach with soft sand and easy swimming. You can do a little body surfing too sometimes. Best of all, it has the Tiki Bar where you can rent chairs, towels and umbrellas for the day. Pay the fee and get coupons equivalent to what you paid that you can spend at the bar. Perfect.

A beautiful beach with plenty of room for everyone. Has bathrooms, an outside shower to rinse off and vendors renting out beach chairs and umbrellas. Also has a lifeguard.

This is a lovely slice of sand but it does have lots of sunbeds from hotels along it. At the end of the boardwalk to good if you want to extend the walk.

Lovely beach. Beware of the waves that can knock you over. Very clean and I loved it. Plenty of sunbeds? The food which is served from white vans just off the beach is delicious.

the water here is very clear, and there are no rocks for you to stand on and hurt your feet, just walk in on lovelly sand. busy beach but plenty of beds and umbrellas for only £10 for two beds and an umbrella.

seems ok but a bit rough at times . there is a current which is difficult sometimes when you are swimming back in . BE CAREFUL .

The beach was excellent with white sandy beach and clean blue water. There is also a board walk. People used to walk on the beach early morning as we stayed at Accra beach resort and spa which has a good location.

Rockley beach is very nice, just 5 min walking from our accommodation. Wide enough not to be over crowded and with perfect sand; near by you can find a lot of places where to eat and drink.
