The sand here is a bit weird, almost like if it's made up of all the coral reef breaking apart, but that doesn't change that it is a beautiful tiny island right off the coast of Cabo Rojo. The boat ride is about 5-10 minutes depending on how adventurous the captain feels (He circled around the island once to allow us to take pictures from every angle). You can find the boat that takes you by looking for Adventures Tourmarine on Google Maps. It will cost you no more than 5 dollars per person, and a couple of extra dollars for bringing coolers or big bags onto the boat. The boa ride is smooth, comfortable and quick.Make sure you bring your own snacks, beverages and some plastic bags to carry your own garbage back to shore. The island is pretty small (literally the size of a large restaurant), but it has a lot of charm. The water is kind of like a Sand-bar, but it's nice to swim in. Unfortunately we visited this island during a week that rained a lot and the water was a bit muddy with lots of waves, but it was still enjoyable.I definitely recommend bringing bug repellent as there were lots of ants on the sand. If you don't have a cell phone with you, please make sure you tell the captain around what time you will be ready to leave the island. They gave us their business cards with two numbers to call when we were ready to leave. The 5 dollars per person includes the ride to and from the island. I would definitely recommend coming to this island if you are close to the area, and afterwards have a little night cap and dinner at Restaurant Nautica's by Polys about two or three doors down from dock.

I have visited this little island on many occasions and have always enjoyed myself with my family and friends . If you are staying in the area I would recommend going if you like to snorkel and just relax. Make sure you bring your own refreshments and snacks because there is nothing to buy on this tiny island. The boat comes and goes every 1/2 hour on busy days but if it's slow the captain will give you his number and you may call him when you are ready to leave.

Volveria!!!!
