This was an incredible beach with the most beautiful water we saw at any of the Culebra/Culebrita beaches. We couldn't believe that more people didn't come out here. It is a bit far but do-able in a jeep. There are no nearby amenities.
If you visit Culbra for a few days this is worth seeing. It is never as crowded as Flamenco Beach. You'll need wheels to get to it.
We were just here and the beach is awesome. The several different turtles that visit the island and lay eggs come to this beach near April. I am guessing this year is going to be early as we saw many turtles 100' to 200' off shore floating in the ocean. This is not a beach to snorkel, but a great beach to swim and walk.
Zoni is off the beaten path and not as crowded as Flamenco. It also doesn't have food stands or chair and umbrella service like Flamenco, so come prepared. Parking lot is small and the roads to Zoni are steep, it's a beautiful drive and worth the effort to get here.
This little beach is east of Culebra Island, it has a very small parking space but the beach space is awesome. We had our own space and were able to take pictures with no strangers in the background. Love the water
Rented a golf cart to drive to this beach which is on the other side of the island. It was worth the hassle. The beach was beautiful and you could see Culebrita from the shoreline.
Beautiful beach with amazing waters. Great , quieter option if you want to avoid the crazy crowds of Flamenco. Waters can get a little choppy, and storms seem to hit Zoni first probably due to location, but all in all an amazing beach. Go early to avoid afternoon crowds and potential tropical afternoon light showers. Snorkel to the left if you're ready to bear the tide- you might see some turtles!
We drove out one afternoon on our last day on the island. The parking lot was full so we needed to wait for someone leaving. There are no facilities but the beach is lovely for walking and swimming. Plenty of shady spots to rest. Next time I will bring food & drink and come in the morning.
Peaceful, deserted, relaxing. Views as you approach the beach from above are breathtaking. Not much snorkling there but great place to swim, relax, and enjoy
Zoni beach is so gorgeous with its views of various islands all the way to St. Thomas. It's not a snorkeling beach and could be a bit rough for swimming, but a perfect place to play in the waves and walk on the beach.
This beach is perfect for friends, family, wedings, etc. Everybody always talked only about Flamenco but sincerely this beach make a big impact in me, more than Flamenco. If you're a snorkeling fan you need to take a day and visit Zoni because this is where you will get the biggest chance to find turtles.
There has been some erosion the last couple of years, so if you walk into the water near where you park, 10-15 feet in there will be rocks that are tough to walk on, as well little sea urchins that you'll only know exist after you leave the water and discover several black "splinters" in your foot.As you enter from the recently improved parking area, go 100 yards left where the swimming and entry into the water is fine. Not a whole lot of shade, but fabulous views and a long sandy shore to walk. Also, high tide goes pretty high, so staying to the left has a deeper beach area.
It's a great beach: Blue Water, Clean, Nice Sand! The only problem is there is a scarry hill on a narrow road that you have to go down before you reaching the parking lot. Overcome that fear and a great beach wiull be your award!
Beautiful beach, with a great view of Culebrita island/lighthouse. Windy and no bathrooms, only limited parking, so come early! Great for sunbathing, and you can find a few palm trees to sit under.
This beach is a bit of a drive from town (a least by Culebra's standards) but it's beautiful. It has more of an Atlantic feeling than some of the other beaches we visited. It's a nesting place for sea turtles so you can't visit it after sundown. We went just before the sunset so we didn't get to swim but I will definitely go back. It's fun to drive there in a golf cart cause the hills are crazy and you feel like you're on a roller coast. It has a super-classy gravel parking lot and is definitely in a wealthy area of the island. It felt like we were in The Hamptons of Culebra.
