I had to go down to Puerto Rico for 3 weeks for my work. As I had my weekends off, I decided to take kitesurfing lesson and found Goodwins to be close to where I was living. I had very good service from everyone there. From answering my e-mail, confirming sessions, to actual lessons, all was close to perfect!I am so hooked up that I will go Snowkiting here back North!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQHIDsWtuZsI may go back to Dorado late April. If so, you can be sure I will want to spend time with them again to improve my skills.

Thank you, Goodwinds, my kids experience could not have been any better!! My son (14) learned the basics of kitesurfing within 3 days and is loving it, and my daughters (10 and 13) want to surf twice every day now! Thank you Andy, Romero and Muriel for being such wonderful, encouraging and skilled teachers and thank you Phil, Carla and Nicole for running such a professional business with so much heart! Cannot recommend more, if you have the chance don't miss it!!

All the people at Goodwins were very nice and very helpful. The gear was spectacular and the location was the best. I'm looking forward to returning next month for more lessons. The gear was great and so was the rest of the staff including Karla who is the owner.

Goodwinds is the place to go if you want to learn kitesurfing. The crew there is amazing and the learning experience is off the charts. They even go out with you on a jet ski or boat to make sure you maximize your learning time and feel safe. My instructor is Andy Hurdman and he's a very patient, knowledgable and cool guy. Not to mention he's one hell of an instructor and rider. I'm only on my second class and already standing up and riding a bit. Cant wait for my next class and hopefully start riding on my own. The school is located in a wonderful place and little to no crowds which makes it even better for learning. The owners, Karla and Phil are very professional and have all the best gear for you to use while learning. Definitely will recommend this place to anyone looking to learn or improve.

I've tried to get over the hump with kiteboarding in Maui, Belize and the BVI and was never able to do it…. that was until this trip. In 2 DAYS Andy Hurdman had me completely competent riding, tacking and even jumping a bit. They went above and beyond with Andy even making me this epic video. I do not exaggerate when I say it was the best trip of my life…. not because of the Ritz but because of Goodwinds with Andy. Here's the link to the video:http://vimeo.com/97284806

I tried kitesurfing in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. There was no wind and after two hours, we gave up. I went back twice to finish the lesson but both trips were wasted - no wind. I guess it's the luck of the draw. I decided to try Puerto Rico, and found the KitesurfPR website. First of all, the owners, Karla and Phil are great. I called about three times before I arrived in PR. They not only put up with my many questions, they were patient, clear and extremely helpful. I was never made to feel like I was asking dumb questions. When I got to PR, I was given excellent directions to the site. Since wind and weather is always a factor, Karla would call me every morning before my lesson to confirm that the weather would be perfect and if not for 10am, then when we could hope to commence (depending on wind conditions). My instructor Martine ("Tincho") was also wonderful. I did not pick this sport up easily, and definitely need many additional hours of training (my issue not theirs.) With that being said, Tincho was patient, pleasant and all around fun to work with. I can hardly wait to go back.

I absolutely loved loved looooved taking kitesurfing lessons with Phil and Karla! Learning to kite is such a big thrill and they're right there with you adding even more to the experience with the right attitude and easily the best team, set of skills and most passion for the sport in PR. The boat support they offer gives you peace of mind as you try to combine and master all of the different elements involved in kitesurfing while you're out in the water. If you're up for it, and when you're ready, they'll even take you out with a friend or partner allowing you to take turns observing and learning from each other. This can really elevate the experience (not sure how that's even possible!) if you're with the right partner. Since taking individual lessons, I've been out with my sis and my husband and I personally found it extremely helpful to see somebody else learning while listening to Phil coach and fine-tune the performance from the boat as I watched. It really gave me some perspective, helping me to see what he was trying to show me while I was in the water in a different way. Karla and Phil's modeling is, of course, ridiculous!!!!! and inspirational but you catch my drift. I've never had so much fun learning!! - which is so important to keeping you motivated in pursuing the sport. Safety is a #1 priority with these two so you can truly enjoy yourself knowing you're in the best hands.Congrats on Goodwinds! We wish you every success... you deserve it!Suzie & Gerardo

I had lessons and rides with several kitesurfing facilities all over the country from NYC to Maui, Hawaii but the experience I had with Goodwinds is the best. The beautiful waters combined with the latest gear and the knowledgeable instructors make learning kitesurfing real fun. I would strongly recommend Goodwinds for any level of kitesurfer that is looking to have unforgettable experience with safety and in a good price. Every time I am visiting PR I will kite with them!!!

Is there a refund or no wind policy? 3. Is there boat support for board riding? 4. Are they responsibly operating with insurance and permits? 5. Are prices fair and do they include gear and boat support?For all the previous questions... we can answer YES!
