To Veronica, Lennon, Emma and Daniel...a huge THANK YOU! We just loved our time with you and it will stay with us all forever. The children (aged 6 and 8) said it was the best thing about the holiday and I have to agree. From being greeted by Veronica and given the low down on all the horses, to then having the horses choose who they would like to go with ('Divo' and I share the same birthday and 'Princess' really nuzzled into my son, which he was so touched about) and then the ride. Wow! I will approach horse riding in a completely new way. Thank you for this. The experience was amazing.If you are reading this review, thinking should I do this, then the answer is simple...YES!

This was very special, and totally different from any other rides I have had in the past, the horses pick their riders for a start; how different is that? and swimming in the sea with a horse swimming under you is exciting, the sea and the whole area is paradise, so one of the experiences of a life time. Really enjoyed meeting Lennon and Veronika. They are running a great business and I love what they do with the horses in buccoo. Not only did I enjoy going out for a ride but I really enjoyed seeing the horses daily going through town and on the beach. It is very clear that these people truly love what they do and the horses are their family.

A wonderful setting, friendly environment and intelligent horses; what more does a man in his fifties want!After a fish lunch down the road ('La Pescatora') and the introductions done, 'they' choose us and after a short walk to the beach we all went for a swim up to 'their' necks in warm blue water. Very safe and certainly unforgettable......A swim down memory beach comes to mindYou would be silly to miss this if nearby.

My husband and myself really enjoyed our time with the horses and Veronika and Lennon. I have never ridden a horse before and it's been years for my husband, but the calm atmosphere enabled us to have a ton of fun. We really appreciated learning about these gentle giants and loved the way the horses are treated and respected. I would recommend this to anyone! You won't regret it. Book in advance, because small groups ensure that only those horses that feel like being ridden end up with someone in a saddle...

Little or No experience...yet in the hands of expert handlers: Lennon and Veronica, I received the most life altering experience while spending my Sunday morn with these majestic creatures. The trainers were quite knowledgeable and took their time to give an enlightening crash course to the riders as we spent time getting acquainted with whichever steed had chosen us. They handled every situation with concern and care for both the horses and their riders and I truly felt by the time we were through that I had been adopted by my horse and I was in love. I have utmost respect for this organisation and their ongoing (Healing with Horses) work in restoring broken bodies as well as broken spirits to both horse and humankind alike. Thank you guys for this amazing experience...I am a fan for life of all that you represent...Blessings. P.S. Hugzz to my girl, Princess....grazer on land, speedboat in the water :)

I found out about Being with Horses from "Table for Two" and was quite grateful I added it to a birthday/getaway weekend for my wife and I. What impressed me about the space as I got there was that the area was spotless but it seemed as though it was done more for the horses than us visitors. I really appreciated how Veronika, Lennon and the rest of the crew took us through an introduction which led to the horses choosing us. It was amazing how our horses personalities matched ours (Shawari, leads from the front, decisive, doesn't like being held back with my wife and Zimbu, open to suggestion after establishing his position as an individual). I have ridden once or twice in another lifetime but it was a different experience doing it without bit and stirrups. We had many lessons on the journey; physical and emotional balance are very overt messages to the horses, the need to communicate clearly with a singular focus and the fact that this ride was a partnership. A whiffy weather system caused some crazy waves that made going into the water an adventure that the horses and people decided was best saved for another day ;-) and Shawari and Zimbu have some history together that made for a very interesting encounter :-). The entire experience was a spiritual one that I am very grateful to have shared.

A totally different approach to horses and riding, to make even an experienced rider think... also a unique and very enjoyable experience. Totally recommended!

I recently went here with my girlfriend and had a great time. The owners were incredibly friendly, and really took their time with the riders and explained their philosophy and how they work with their horses. It's quite unique from most places i've ever experienced. The riding itself is barefoot, and saddless. There is a small mat and a bridle so its a very free feel. Riding on the beach and in the ocean is pretty special. my only small compaint is that i would have liked to have a little more time riding. Overall, a great experience.

Me and my boyfriend went to the "swim&trail" without almost any experience of horsebackriding. The two hours we spent with the horses and the very friendly staff was one of the most authentic and unique thing we've ever been apart of. It was totally worth the money! Great trip to Tobago, highlight was our afternoon being with horses, we were complete novices having never been on horses before, the team at Being With Horses put us at our ease, at the same time showing immense passion for their mission, which goes further than a tourist attraction. We rarely write reviews, however, this does deserve top rating.

My daughter planned this experience as a christmas surprise for me when she knew we were travelling to Tobago.We participated in the experience together and it has created a memory for life.I have always wanted to horse ride in the sea, but this is so so much more because of the ethos created by Lenon and Veronika.The horses,the scenery ,the rare nature of the foundation make for an experience unlike any other.If you love horses,nature and trying something unique,then this experience is most definitely for you.The horses are well cared for and loved ,Lenon and Veonika are very serious about the foundation and the way in which the horses are ridden and you will be too after 5 minutes around such magnificent horses.Add to that a host with such a great sense of humour as Lenon has,you can't help but have a wonderful time.Kerry and Frankie

I did the "Swim and Trail" tour with my family and boyfriend. None of us had much experience with horses, yet we all had an excellent time! The highlight of the tour is when you get to swim with the horses in the ocean. I did not expect the horses to gallop as quickly through the water as they did, so it was quite a thrilling experience. The staff is very friendly and you can tell that they really love the horses and care for them extremely well. Overall a great experience!!!!

This is a must do. Veronika gave a great introduction to the story of how she came to work with her horses. Then we were introduced to the horses and went on a ride through Buccoo, through a forest, along the beach, then INTO the ocean! It was thrilling riding with so many horses, many without riders. I'm a bit nervous around horses and went because my friend used to ride, but it was totally fine. I felt very relaxed once we were in the water, and the ride home and along an ocean-view cliff face was very enjoyable.
