We visited the Gardens by Taxi to view the humming birds and other local flora and fauna. The visit was good until a coach from a cruise line arrived when we were asked to move on. They completely took over and we left. We definitely felt that our payment (6US pp)was not important. The birds we managed to see were beautiful. A lot could be made of this attraction and we would have spent longer.

We spent a lovely couple of hours watching and reading about the birds as well as walking around the beautiful natural gardens. Really enjoyable, untouristy, interesting and relaxing!

Lovely gardens and a porch with a dozen or so humming bird feeders that literally swarm with hummingbirds. Go at around 17:45 and you can spend 30 minutes watching the hummingbirds, then as the sun goes down the birds are replaced by just as many fruit-eating bats. The rest of the grounds include many other birds, including a number of mot mot. Well worth a trip. 10USD donation needed

Liked the fact that several times a day a bell was rung to summon the birds to eat some fresh fruit put out for them. Disliked the slippery path going downhill, but it had rained overnight; a dry day would not have been a concern.

Only in a zoo could you see so many hummingbirds but to see them in their natural habitat. A trifle difficult to reach and find but well worth a visit.

We go here every year we visit Tobago. The hummers are frequent and plentiful. The only thing I would recommend, after figuring this out last visit (Nov. 2014), is to get up off the seats and take pictures looking towards the house! That way you get a bit brighter pictures, because the feeders themselves are all hanging in the shade. The first year we went, my pictures were all quite dark.

Entrance to the adventure farm was by donation, which was $10 a person. As soon as we walked in, we saw roughly 5 bird feeders, or so, with dozens of hummingbirds buzzing around them. It was quite remarkable, as I have never seen anything like it. My family and I just sat down in the chairs provided and simply watched the hundred birds or so zoom around the bird feeders. There isn't much else to see, other than the nature. One should expect to spend roughly and hour and a half there, so you should schedule that with your cab driver as cabs are difficult to hail in Tobago.

The Adventure Farm provides entrance by donation ($10/person). As soon as you enter the reserve, you're greeted by dozens of hummingbirds zipping and zapping around by the feeders. You have blue ones, red ones, and even all kinds of other birds! I'd recommend spending about an hour to an hour and a half there. Be sure to arrange it with your taxi driver ahead of time, because it's quite difficult to hail one in Tobago.

I was stunned by the sheer number of humming birds whizzing around making their uninque humming sound. The owners have set up feeders outside their house which were in continuos use while we were there. We could get up close to take photos of these little birds feeding. We saw 4 of the varieties plus a lot of other colourful feathered friends.You can get a coffee if you just ask (you have to pay obviously)! We went with Mr B who gently snoozed in a chair while we snapped away!We had tried to visit by ourselves earlier in the week but couldn't work out how to get the car past the tree root.....actually, you just need to park on the flat bit of ground before the tree then walk a few yards to the house!

So lovely to see beautiful humming birds so close and then take a delightful walk through the grounds, well worth a visit, a highlight of our holiday

We visited in March 2014 and it was a pleasure. There is no fee as I recall, just a suggested donation to purchase some feed and ring the bell to attract the birds to the feeders.You need some patience to try to photograph the humming birds and the noise is quite amazing especially if you have never experienced it before. Just as you press the shutter they move. Same goes for the other colourful birds that appear more shyly when the pieces of lemon are stuck amongst the branches.Take your time, have some patience, click the shutter many times and keep the best shots. Don't miss the nature trail and look out for the Cherry Tree Carol.

Had a wonderful couple of hours here in August. Humming birds were everywhere and actually came to a bell. The colours were magnificant and they came so close. The people running the centre were passionate about conservation and were very interesting to talk to, taking time to converse. The walk around the park was short but we saw several lizards and it was very peaceful.Our best visit in Tobago!!

The number of birds you can see here is absolutely incredible and they come up so close to you which makes for great photograph opportunities. It is very reasonably priced and the owners clearly care about the local wildlife. I had a great afternoon out however perhaps the addition of a small coffee shop would enhance the experience.
