This little anchorage took me by surprise as I hadn't expected it to be so nice. It is probably my favourite anchorage to date in the BVI's. It was fairly quiet when we were there, only 2 or 3 other yachts. There's nothing ashore, so I guess that puts some people off, for us it just made it all the better. Beautiful views across to Norman Island and a wonderful sunset. As others have said a great place to potter about, explore the shoreline, swim and snorkel.I was tempted not to write anything about this spot, because I'd rather not too many people knew about it!
Beautiful!!!! Relaxing, just a lovely spot to anchor! The beach has wonderful sea shells - the kids had a blast picking up shells for hours! Gorgeous snorkeling - we had fish around the boat at all times! Just a really nice place to spend a day and night! Make sure to stop and enjoy a day anchored there!!!
Great anchorage to relax, good stop to cook lunch on your way up the channel. Great snorkeling, nice beaches and great places to explore via dingy. Typically you have the whole cove to yourself, a hidden gem right out in the open. Easy access and nice sand bottom for secure anchoring, light swell, well protected.
Chartered a boat and stopped here to snorkel, It was incredible, lots of puffer fish, barracuda, a few sting rays and lots of beautiful tropical fish. Amazing experience. If you have the opportunity to go here, go.
We didn't stay on the island as we were sailing on the SeaDream 1 Yacht, but we did get to spend the afternoon snorkelling there. It was one of the best snorkelling experiences that I have ever had - right off the beach we saw sting rays, bull rays, puffer fish, barracuda and a whole host of beautiful tropical fish. It was interspersed with old car tyres (think they were placed there on purpose?) but it was a fab experience.
