I have been meaning to write this review for ages. Our family went to Snyders Family Farm in October, 2014, and we all had a wonderful time. We took my 10 year old daughter and her best friend and her friend's mom. It has something for everyone - the adults had as much fun as the kids, and you could take kids much younger than 10 for lots of fun. The haunted house that is open during the day was too much for my daughter (who is a fraidy cat!), but her best friend went through it. It is all visual - there is no one that jumps out at you. They loved the hay bale mountains, the hayride, The adults meant to come back on a later date and use the coupon you get with admission for the real haunted experience at night time - the "Fear Farm"- but we just didn't have the time. Next year! The only advice I have - beyond having a great time - is to bring your own snacks if you are vegetarian or vegan as they are kind of limited in that regard. I brought this to the attention of a staff member - who turned out to be one of the owners, who listened very politely and patiently to my suggestions. However, he also explained to me the difficulty they would have in bringing in a whole new grill (I am to the kind of vegetarian who does not mind things being cooked on the same grill as meat products, but to advertise as truly vegetarian they would have to make this provision.) So - if you are veggie - just bring a knapsack with veggie snacks! It was such a great afternoon - we will probably go twice in 2015!
We spent a few hours at Snyders Family Farm mid October 2014. This is our fourth year coming to this attraction, and our 6 year old loves to spend a few hours here every year. Admission is a bit steep - especially for adults - but we only do it once a year. The hayride is not to be missed - it's a 15-20 minute ride through corn and pumpkin fields, with a 5-10 minute stop while some of the farm employees put on a little skit. Our son particularly enjoys jumping and climbing on the haybale "mountains", climbing in the inflatable train, the bouncy castle, the pedal cars and the "train" tractor ride. Once our son is tired out, we head to the pumpkin patch and choose our own pumpkins before heading home. We plan to return here at least once every year.
We took the kids for the afternoon and had tons of fun with the corn maze, finding a pumpkin, and especially in the haunted house. Good wholesome family fun.
