It is unfortunate that you have not been able to fly as of yet but please remember that the safety of all of our passengers is our highest priority. We must cancel a flight if the pilot feels the conditions are not safe enough for all of the passengers on the flight. Sometimes smaller, corporate balloons might fly with their VIPs on a day that we cancel, but they do not have the same concerns as we do in a large balloon. We must consider the wind conditions, availability of landing locations and the length of time we can fly so all of our passengers receive a full flight. Flight cancellations are very frustrating for you, we certainly understand that. We are continually calling canceled passengers to try to get them rescheduled into flights right away and do our best to accommodate everyone as early as their schedule permits. It's just unfortunate that it has taken a few seasons for you to get up. Please contact our office so we can see if there is anything else that we can do to help you out with scheduling of flight dates - we certainly want to fly you and have you enjoy the magic of ballooning! It's truly one of the most memorable adventures you will have!

We are sorry to hear of your frustrations but do want to remind you that flights must be canceled if the weather conditions are not safe. What can seem like a nice day can be unsafe if the wind is too strong for a safe take off and landing. I'm surprised of your comment about the rescheduling process as we have had lots of space for rescheduling and can often reschedule passengers within a week or 2. We also make a point of calling passengers in the spring to remind them to schedule a flight. Please contact our office so we can see how we can help you to get scheduled sooner. As I am sure you know, your vouchers are still valid for scheduling and we hope to fly you soon.

The air balloon ride pilot was great and informative. Wish the sight and the scenery would have been better.

This was a present from my boyfriend for my birthday--starting my 40th year up the a balloon like that was amazing! The crew were very professional and not only was the trip great, but the historical explanation of champagne at the end was interesting. I absolutely recommend it!

We are sorry to hear of your frustration with your balloon ride cancellations. We want to fly as much as you do but we must ensure that the conditions are safe to do so. You are certainly able to upgrade your vouchers at any point, but yes, there is a small cost to do so. Other passengers have paid a premium to book on the weekend flight dates and it would be unfair for us to give you priority over others that have paid the higher price. Your vouchers are still valid and we will continue to honor them in the spring. We start scheduling for our 2015 flight season at the beginning of April. If you book early, you may also be able to select a holiday Monday so you do not have to miss work. We look forward to helping you select a flight date in the spring and hope that the weather on your flight date is suitable and safe for a flight!

For our 20th anniversary I purchased a balloon ascension for me and my wife. We arrived on a little early, and the balloon crew arrived not long after. Our pilot was calm, relaxed, and very experienced, going over everything we needed to know as we waited for the morning fog to clear. It was necessary to change locations, which was done pretty easily by the group riding in Sundance's vehicle to the next take-off location, and we had a break in Tim Horton's while we waited.The balloon was inflated, we all got in our respective parts of the basket, and up we went. It was remarkably peaceful and gentle. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but there was very little sense of motion at all. We didn't go too high, as the flight rules and ceiling limitations had been explained to us beforehand, but that just made it better for seeing due to the fogginess and cloud that day.An hour or so later, the landing was a bit of a gentle bounce, and the passengers and flight team worked very quickly to deflate and pack the balloon and basket away. Some champagne to celebrate, and off we went back to our respective cars.A really nice way to celebrate our anniversary, and something we'd like to do again. Perhaps next time with our kids.

My husband got this for our first year anniversary and it was amazing! The view was beautiful and it wasn't that cold which was nice. Great experience.

My Husband gave this experience to me as an anniversary gift. It took 3 different times to book due to weather conditions not being good, but was worth the wait. We had a beautiful morning overlooking all the trees changing. I didn't feel nervous at all. Our instructor was amazing at his job and knew what he was doing. It was very peaceful. One more thing off our "bucket list" that didn't disappoint us.

We managed to book our ride on the most beautiful Fall day. The skies were clear and the air was warm. I had never travelled by air balloon but always wondered what it would be like. This experience was exactly what I imagined. The leaves were just starting to change colour and there was only a slight warm breeze. The ride was smooth and the landing was soft.I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who has every thought about an simple adventure. I will warn you though, hot air balloon rides are EXTREMELY weather dependant. We only had to reschedule our flight once. But we were one of the lucky ones. It can take a few tries to find the perfect day, but it is worth the wait!!

My husband and I went up for my 50th Birthday...what a fantastic time! Not once did we have any fear, only awe. The pilot and crew were wonderful, professional, made us feel completely at ease. I have a tremendous fear of heights, but once we ascended, it never entered my mind. Landing in a horse pasture, with the horses, llama, and donkey was absolutely outstanding! This was our first balloon ride, but definitely not our last!

This was an incredible experience. One I had wanted to do for a long time, but as I am not fond of motion (can't stand swings or a ride in a elevator), had put it off. My husband bought the tickets for us for my birthday and we went with our 16 year old daughter. What a wonderful experience to have together. A true "bird's eye view. The crew was very kind and explained everything we should expect during the flight and landing (MUCH appreciated). I enjoyed meeting the other "ballooners" as we were all awed during the flight. Thank you!

Our hot air balloon experience was incredible, exhilarating and everything we dreamed it would be! All of the staff were wonderful and friendly. The Pilot's extensive knowledge and experience definitely made this visit a more than spectacular one! Kudos to Sundance Balloons and their team! We hope to book another hot air balloon ride with your company next season! Smiles!!

Weather finally co-operated and we were off on a great adventure, beautiful views and we had a great group of people in our basket. The Pilot was informative and communicated everything, the take off and landing were smooth I am sure due to the pilots skill, Recommend it to everyone even if your not a thrill seeker it is so peaceful and calm up there above the city and landscape

First of all, if you have ever considered taking a balloon ride then go. It is definitely an experience of a life time and words will never come close to explain the experience. The staff was friendly and informative throughout the whole trip.The only reason why I did not give this 5 out of 5 stars is because we were 11 people that had to make room in 4 “booths”. Seeing this is mostly a couple’s experience there were loved ones that had to be split up. Let’s face it, holding your loved one while silently gliding through the air is what maximizes the experience. Having said that, it was an awesome trip that should be on everybody’s bucket list.

We had a wonderful time. The scenery is gorgeous when viewed from the gondola, much like a patchwork quilt and I was amazed by how still the air seems when you are riding the current. Our pilot and crew were amazing - efficient, experienced and entertaining.I foolishly believed that I knew better than Sundance and that I would find it cold up high, so I dressed in multiple layers which, unfortunately, cannot be removed once you are in the gondola. Trust them, when they say to dress for the same temp as is on the ground, they know what they are talking about.We had a couple of people on board who were afraid of heights and they thoroughly enjoyed as well, saying it just doesn't feel like being on a ladder or rooftop. All in all, I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone.
