The place is enormous. Lots of road ways, trails per their map, but really nothing to see. The access to the Grand River is non existent unless you trek on a trail for 1 kms or so. I expect their is nothing there when you get to the Grand anyhow i.e. picnic tables, benches, etc. So to fish the Grand lets say, you have to schlep all your stuff on the trail. With so much land it is amazing their is so little there. Camping? Sure, if you like a grassy spot with one picnic table if your lucky. The government sure is wasting this potentially nice spot. Typical of our government provision of parks. Oh, the only real access / views of the Grand River are for the few permanent camp sites with trailers on them. How stupid is that? But $ in the bank for the park. However this problem re access to the Grand River or just some decent views of it from a picnic table, etc. is consistent in all the parks for Brantford. They do not even cut down some brush misc. trees to give views in the city parks. Dumb. How about some fishing / viewing docks in our parks with access nearby from parking and trails? Where do we find that? Paris has a few locations, but not Brantford.

Love to walk here on a Saturday afternoon. There is a pool to enjoy in the summer. There are lots of trails and sometimes you can see the deer.

What can I say - this is an area rich with diverse flora and fauna, great hiking, canoeing, fishing, swimming. The facilities are fab - the power shower is super when you are filthy from camping! And the pool is lovely to laze beside. I went with my partner and dog and you really can just 'get away from it all'. I will definitely be going back. First discovered this park late last summer (2013). Took our 2 small girls for their first camping experience. We had a ball!! Pool is phenomenal! Little splash pad area which suited our girls just great! Booked a large site (#199) just to give the girls space to play, and be kids! Tons of privacy! Amazing camping experience, right here in Brantford! We forgot where we were! Heading back in a couple days, and will continue to return all summer. Great spot, would highly recommend!

My wife and I have been going to Brant Park for 27 years now. In all this time we have always had excellent experiences in every way. This place has become our sanctuary, and also a rich photo opportunity locale. We routinely track deer, coyotes, turkeys, many small animals, including weasels, chipmunks, red and grey squirrels, and of course some fun racoons and skunks. There is also a very rich population of birds here, and if you are fortunate enough to see a resident GRCA bird expert, (Dwayne) he can offer the very best information on the local bird scene. The Management Staff is courteous and very attuned to the special attention needed in conservation. We have witnessed local Carolinian treasure grove this for close to 30 years together and hope for at least 30 more.

As a family we used to go here every summer. Pool is large and the facilities are clean. Fantastic day out for the kids. Location is just outside Brantford. If you have visitors with kids this is a must do on a hot summers day. Price is reasonable. Getting away from the park, along the grand river there are trails which go for ever, great for bike riding.

Brant Conservation Area is the jewel of Brantford. With nature so close, lush and preserved, locals are fortunate to enjoy this gorgeous setting.

We stayed in site 29 which I don't recommend unless you're booking a group of sites side by side. We picked it to be a shorter distance from the pool but you have zero privacy from your neighbours as you're packed in tight. The sites further away are better.Pool is nice but was very cold during our visit. No diving or deep areas and just a basic splash pad area. The trails along the Grand River are pretty and bike friendly.

As for as Conservation Areas go, this is one is pretty nice, especially if you have a small boat because the Grand River here is between shallow and not too deep. And the water is pretty clear as long as it hasn't rained too recently.Didn't get to use the pool because it wasn't open yet but it looks pretty big.The pond there has a bunch of carp. Pond isn't easy to find but if you look on the map, look at the only body of water that isn't connected to the river.

We took our bouncers there and the people were very friendly. It seemed clean and well taken care of.

Nice low key very rustic spot. Nice pool for the family and unique in it's shape. You can rent canoes there or go for long bike rides. I would go again.

Such an amazing pool!!! IT's worth it alone.... but we had a great stay with a large groups. Some sites are close together, but that worked well for us with kids. Only downside is that there is an extra charge for the pool. I feel that it should be included in the cost of the camping. Also , puddle jumpers are not promitted, so don't bother packing them.

Don't Camp HERE!What a terrible excuse for a "campground"! It is more like an open field that they charge you money to sleep on. There was absolutely no privacy, no rules (underage partiers were drinking till 3am and no campground officials came around to control them - but like I said they're in a field so maybe they were having a field party!) the outhouse had no lock on the door, 2 out of the 4 stalls at the comfort station washrooms ran out of toilet paper and the water tap was overtaken by our neighboring partiers so that they could hose each other down and we had a good morning waking up to other peoples children wandering around our site. And we thought our site was bad, they actually set a family of 4 up on a fork in the road across from the washrooms, not 1 tree to provide privacy for this "on display" family. If your desperate for a last minute campsite, either find somewhere else or just stay home. We had booked a 2 night stay, and we left after 1 night, losing our $40 was a better option than staying another night.
