brockville museum

Wished it was a little bigger. But we enjoyed it and not very expensive. Enjoyed the side with the old cars.

Every local museum, according to me, is a must-see. This one is very well kept, the artifacts depict interesting parts of days long gone and the staff was very friendly. Well worth the time.

For a small town this is an excellent museum which shows a lot of Brockville's past, They also have kids classes, Art Shows etc,.

Typically, the exhibits in the town museum featured prominent families from 19th and early 20th centuries - those MEN who made their fortunes by trade and industry. (Confusingly, the Fulford family was conspicuous by its absence.) There was an almost total lack of history of the women of the town - at any level of society. Also, we learnt nothing about the workers and their lives.We discussed these points with a staff member who accepted and understood our comments, and explained that things are expected to change as a result of new management.
