paletta lakefront park and mansion

Went here for the first time this month for a retirement celebration and I have to say this place is beautiful. If you have a private function this place would be perfect. I would have wished to have done our wedding here. Great views of the lake.

Nice place to spend a few hours on the waterfront, but not very large. Nice, very easy walk, rolling lawn. We did a classic picnic on the lawn..Accessible for those with physical challenges and usually not that busy. Mansion often has things going on, check for events on web.

Stunning mansion. Really enjoyed our evening at this location. I am not sure who catered, but the food and the presentation was a class act. Warm rooms, inviting atmosphere. Would consider using this venue for one of our own events for Hamilton/Burlington/Toronto customers.

Seems like a crazy thing for the city to own. Not accessible to the regular citizen, has no value to the city and should be sold.

Attended a family wedding there -amazing location, absolutely beautiful views of Lake Ontario from the waterfront and 'beach'. Lovely outdoor terrace, patios and gardens. Clean, upscale historic mansion set up to accommodate - bar, sunroom, lovely dining rooms, real attantion to detail to retain the 'historic' feel with modern services. Ample parking and just unbelievable , hypnotic lake views. Well worth a trip!

I cannot say enough great things about how the day turned out, the staff, and all that helped in putting this day together. From the time we met with Laura Mulholland at Paletta Mansion, she was incredibly helpful, positive and just a joy to work with! The service staff through the Oakville Conference Centre made sure that the day went off without a hitch. The food was excellent, we had the chicken with potatoes and veggie side dish, and the portions and preparation were amazing! The salad starter was incredible (arugula and pear), and the dessert had people talking for days/weeks!! My bridal shower was an amazing day thanks to the people who helped in putting the day together. Paletta Mansion staff went above and beyond from the time I booked the venue to even after the venue was done. I wish we were getting married there. It is a beautiful trail and walk to the lake in Burlington. At this time however there is a mother coyote and it is NOT recommended that you walk in there with a dog.

We had our engagement pictures down here. Beautiful scenery, great place to just go for a walk. Has some history to it as well.

Beautiful place right on Lake Ontario in Burlington. I had not been there prior because i thought that it was private property, but it's not. There were people walking their dogs along the lakefront. The mansion is set up very nicely with separate rooms available for various things...IE: one room had the bar set up in it, there was a smaller quiet room with a fireplace, a bigger room was the dancing area and finally, a very quaint area upstairs, where 75 people ate comfortably with a great view. Would def recommend for a smaller wedding.

In August, I attended a wedding reception at the Paletta Mansion, in Burlington, Ontario. It is located on the shores of Lake Ontario, on a fourteen acre park site. What a serene place this is, with walking trails and beautifully kept grounds, with trees, flowers and manicured lawns. While the bride and groom were being photographed, I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the park area surrounded by the lush greenery. It is a perfect spot to spend a summer day, with good company or even by oneself. The mansion is a lovely venue for a wedding reception or any other function. I was able to see all of it, since the reception guests have access to the whole mansion. Tours are available (if you are not attending a function there and wish to visit this historic site) and can be booked by appointment. What a perfect sanctuary to spend a lovely summer day at, and find refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life!

I love walking around the grounds of Paletta as often as I can. The grounds are kept so beautifully with the gardens featuring many different flowers & plants. The manison itself is both stunning on aside as the inside. However you may need an appointment to get visit inside. On any given afternoon there may be a wedding taking place on the back porch. There is many rock structures to sit on and look out over the lake.

We took our preteen daughters and felt very comfortable letting them wandering around on their own. There is a little bit of everything to enjoy ,a small forested area, a garden, and a small waterfront. We enjoyed picking wild blackberries and playing "Pooh Sticks" on the bridge in the wooded area. A nice relaxing walk that makes you forget that you are in the city.

I love walking around this particular area. You access the lakefront by walking through the grounds of the mansion. As I was there in May the trees were in full blossom, which was so beautiful. As on previous visits we walked along the lake side, taking in all that nature could offer us. On the lake there was a group of young adults taking part in water sports and a couple of yachts to be seen in the distance. On the grass very near to us were a gaggle of geese and of course the odd squirrel!There are a few benches to sit on, ideal to relax on and either enjoy a leasurely read, snack or just gaze at whatever is going on when you visit.

Very nice place to go for a short stroll with the dog, takes about 10 minutes to complete but you can do the circuit a few times. Usually quite empty so you feel like you are getting away from it all. Sometimes people are there to paint/draw. Property is well maintained. Have never been inside the mansion so can't judge that part.
