This outing was excellent. Took two grandchildren who were thrilled with all the activities for them to participate in. The programme was well organized and extremely informative for the children. The decorations, music and surroundings well done.Definitely recommend this for next year for people looking for a wonderful day out with their children or just for adults to visit!

Have visited a couple of times. Absolutely lovely home and surroundings. The guides throughout the premises are very eager to share their tales of the family and reminisce about the old days! Very interesting - and right in our own midst. We attended a lovely Christmas open house last year, complete with house tours and a sampling of all the treats and homemade specialties of days of yore! Well worth a visit! We're looking forward to spending another Christmas visit this year.

I was extremely impressed, 3 generations of the Ireland clan - Joseph, John and George Ireland - the property had been in the family since the early, early days of Burlington Ontario. Built somewhere around 1835 and lived in by a family member until 1985.All of the artifacts and items on display are not "period" items brought in, they were actual Ireland family property.Several acres of land, a barn, many indoor and outdoor displays and places/things to see. A must visit if touring southern ontario.https://museumsofburlington.com/ireland-house/information/general-information

My grandchildren were thrilled with the Easter egg hunt and with the chance to hug the Easter bunny! A visit to the homestead on the property was worthwhile with knowledgeable guides and there were lots of children's activities taking place. This was my first visit here and will definitely return to another event. I will also recommend this place to others.

The Ireland family homestead was purchased by the City circa 1987 and the family donated the contents to be displayed to the public. This is a wonderful example of life in rural Ontario over 100 years ago.

Great to take kids and out of town visitors during their events like Easter and Christmas. Take a candle lit tour of the house, it's really interesting, and maybe even a bit spooky.

I visited Ireland House Museum due to a cancelled road trip; but I honestly have to say it was worth it. A guide took me all over the house and grounds, and explained all the exhibits, and answered all my questions. Hats off!

The house has been very nicely restored with the neat concept of each room representing a different era of the family who lived in the farmhouse. Because they were the ultimate hoarders, even the wllpapers they papered over through the generations has been accessible to restorers. The on hand staff also provide good insight to the family and their home.
