This boat when taken out of services by Boisie Cascade had been pulling log booms to the paper mill in Fort Frances for over thirty years. Restored by the town, it sits in water. You have access to all parts of the boat.

The Hallett was a logging tug that worked Rainy Lake before wood collection was largely road based. It is facinating to see the living conditions of the ships workers. Tickets ( a code) can be purchased at the marina beside the site.

This was a great way to spend my afternoon. I toured the Logging Tug Hallett on the Laverendrye Parkway and I learned so much about how the boat used to work. There were many information boards on the boat that you were able to look at.
