my first and second experience on XC just happened here.I can not compare with other places but my experience is just great. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff.You can rent or just bring your own skies and go on groomed tracks for any level of experience.I will go back any time I can.

I took the staff of BSC Solutions Group to Mansfield for the day to experience a Canadian winter day outdoors. Most of them had never been cross country skiing before. The staff were friendly and the ski instructor was great. He was very patient with our group and eventually they all go the hang of it. We spent the day on a number of trails, which were in fantastic shape. The lunch menu offered a variety of homemade sandwiches and soup. The desserts were tasty too. The facilities are rustic but clean. The group had a great time and are eager to return.

I catered a wedding there this weekend in the Main Lodge and was impressed with the space. It has a commercial kitchen with lots of event space with a couple of bathrooms.Cabins can accommodate a few people or as many as 10 and are beautiful, if you or your guests don't mind sharing a bathroom. You could also bring a tent and camp. The fire pit is behind the cabins. There's hiking trails, horseback riding and a swimming pool (closed this time of year, of course).We were mostly in the Main Lodge but I wish I'd checked out the Field Centre, which also has a kitchen with sleeping and meeting areas.Staff is very nice and it seemed that the wedding couple had a really good experience with them. Someone else I spoke to there had been there before as a chaperone for a school trip and said she had a positive experience during that too. Prices are reasonable, which was one of the reasons the couple chose the venue. Price includes the weekend accommodations along with the facility rental.I recommend the Mansfield Outdoor Centre for retreats, weddings, corporate events or family reunions.

I went to Mansfield on a school camping trip, it was very fun and had great scenery and for what they were the cabins were pretty good (not that we were in them that often) the food was good but I did have some complaints I found the staff very judgemental and I do realize that they are very into being environmentally friendly but I did not like the fact that they weighed how much food we didn't eat like what if we tried it cause we had never had it and didn't like it? You wouldn't eat something you didn't like and then they would get mad cause you didn't eat it ! Well not everyone likes everything . But overall the trip was fun and I learned quite a bit
