We visited my boyfriends family cabin, we had to use the boat to get there. The cabin was 10 sec from the lake, absolutely stunning lake I must say. Had my first experience with Snapping Turtle, so scary, but kinda fun anyways. Had a few moments of panicking in the water, afraid of loosing my toes, hehe. It's quite and peaceful, great place to go with canoe or just hiking. Watersports are very popular over there, no matter what age. Simply just perfect!
Wonderful scenery and tranquility - a place to truly leave city worries behind. Iconic Ontario Cottage Country getaway - visit if you want the true Canadian experience, but be forewarned about its popularity. While beautiful, you will not be the only one enjoying the lake - so if you don't mind rampant commercialization and crowded waterways, then definitely worth the visit.
Words can't express the feeling you have and experience. It is like tonic for your soul. Regardless of the season there is always a reason to escape to the lake.
This is one of the most beautiful lakes in Ontario. The best way to discover its beauty is on a steam boat tour if you do not have your own boat. Lake Muskoka is the perfect place to enjoy Ontario's country side and the cottage life. We went mid October and seeing the red, yellow and orange leaves made the experience unforgettable. Don't miss it!!
I had the opportunity to stay at the Marriottt which overlooks Lake Muskoka at the end of September. I also took a two hour cruise on the steamship called the Segwun. The lake is stunning with its many small islands and beautiful homes, resorts and cottages. The weather was warm and sunny and the fall colours were at peak. The rugged landscape makes the views incredible. There are many points of interest along the lake shore and small towns to visit. Many of the facilities in the area close for the winter. Some remain open to accommodate the snowmobiles.
Such a beautiful lake! I love coming here at any time in the year! I like to sit on the beach and watch the little fish swim around!
Beautiful landscaping so rocky and full of tree's and lots of water. Very clean and lots of friendly place with lots of people visiting.

Absolutely stunning views, nice hotels/motels in the area. We went at the end of season and not many travelers around and found this to be great
We went to see the fall colours, but it's a great place to visit during any season. The scenery is outstanding.
Lake Muskoka has many different places and interests, I loved taking the boat ride and just absorbing the Natural beauty of the lake with the gorgeous homes the Blue crisp water and the great fresh air.
I have been coming to Muskoka since 1945 and as a teenager its beauty, people, fun, peace, and total experience shaped my life forever, even through the bad days in life. Its where the Angels vacation.I live outside Wash DC and hopr to come back soon. Thank you Canada//////////
A gorgeous lake with lots of islands and inlets and wonderful cottages and summer retreats lining the shores.Take a boat tour with Muskoka steamships.
It had a lot of very nice boats and buildings on it and was accessible from a lot of locations including Gravenhurst where there was a great park and shopping area and the Steam ship to tour the lake.
