It's always a pleasure to enter the doors at Henry of Pelham. A fun, laid-back experience, and some excellent wines. This afternoon we went to their Inaugural Chowda Fest. One of the best experiences since we moved to NOTL a few years ago. We tried the 7 chowders on offer - Tide & Vine was my favourite! We won't miss this event next year. Love this winery. Include it on your tour of the Bench.

We received a free wine tour voucher and decided to take advantage of this opportunity. I, at the time did not drink wine but thought the wife would enjoy the outing. Well, Trudy our guide was very informative, friendly and just made the tour fantastic. We all went back for the tasting, any and all wine is available for tasting and here I am, a wine drinker! Not a full fledge one, but Ice wine, and the sweeter scale wines I do like. So far Henry of Pelhams Ice Wine is the best I have tasted and I have been testing a lot since this tour and I keep coming back for more!! During the summer take sometime and spend a delightful afternoon having lunch and a glass of wine on the outdoor patio amongst the serene and quiet setting of the Escarpment views in Pelham.

My husband and I stopped here during our baby-free getaway not once, but twice! The staff was so incredibly welcoming and fun and the wine was exceptional. They were so sweet in getting boxes for us to bring our bottles home safely. They also made excellent restaurant recommendations! Highlight of the wines. Thank you Henry of Pelham for a great experience!

The atmosphere was so much friendlier and less pressured . The wine was more reasonably priced than the heavily marketed wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake. And a very pretty spot well worth the drive out to St.Catharine.

My wife and I visited this lovely property on our way to a family reunion in early July. It was our second time there, at least a decade removed, but found the restaurant and servers again to be first rate and the tasting room staff friendly and delightful. We joined others in the tasting room who were also having a great time. The wines are very well made and are priced fairly for their quality. They succeed across the board with winning wines in the Sparkling, Red, White and Dessert category. I urge you to visit them for a rewarding and entertaining experience. Very Highly Recommended!

I have to say, for an Ontario winery, this place is among the finest I've seen. Not only are the wines well made, well priced and diverse, the cellars are particularly JET SET! Our tour guide was a wine student, interested in all things wine and quite pleasant throughout our stop-in. A must do on the Niagara wine tour...

The staff at Henry of Pelham is absolutely stellar. A friend and I had an excellent tasting filled with the history of the winery and the region, a delectable flight of wines, and the best sparkling rose I have ever tried. A superior wine tasting visit at a superior winery.

Henry of Pelham has my wife's favourite sparkling in Catharine cuvée rose. I went to pick it up for a friends engagement gift but unfortunately took them 5 minutes to even realize I was there. It was great after that because the staff was knowledgable and tasted some great wine. Always a great winery to visit with excellent whites and reds.

Although we were too late in the season to get their winery tour, we had an excellent visit in their wine store with a very informative and knowledgeable female staff member. She shared the history of the winery, and region plus gave an excellent tasting experience.

The Coach House is a patio cafe, not a restaurant, and is open for lunches only. We have been going many years and the food, ambiance, views and friendly service are excellent. It is set in the countryside about a 20 minute drive from Niagara on the Lake on the grounds of Henry of Pelham, which is on the wine route. The food can be shared and each item has a pairing suggestion. The wines of course, may be purchased at the winery, where you can also do tastings in a lovely old building. In September, after a bike ride along the Niagara Parkway, we had lunch there, surrounded by beautiful scenery and the smell of wine-making in the air. We do this a couple of times a year (summer only) and have never been disappointed.

I think Henry of Pelham is rated the #2 Canadian winery. In any event, it is a top notch winery and restaurant. We started out here sitting on the patio enjoying wine, cheese, and a blues festival. I told my wife this is as good as it gets with your clothes on. I highly recommend. It is not a particularly fancy place but the food is excellent and the wine top notch. Staff was helpful and knew what they were doing. Enjoy!

Lovely winery in a nice part of Niagara on the lake. We had lunch here which was nice although the grilled sandwiches were not anything to write home about. The wine tasting was gun and reasonably priced and we came home having bought a few bottles of wine. All in all a good place to while away a few hours.

Stopped here on our wine tour heading to Niagara Falls looking for some good icewine. We were lucky to be served a couple of different ice wines for free, which was nice. Their cabernet was out of this world. She also suggested a couple of wineries to try: The Ice House and Foreign Affair (which we did). Price was very resonable. Thanks!

Henry of Pelham winery and Oyster Boy did a summer event this past July. Being oyster's lovers, we invited some family over to enjoy wine sipping and oysters late afternoon. Wine and oysters were delicious, but services was uncoordinatedly poor, nonchalant and careless (Coach House Cafe staff). We were 6 adults and 2 children sitting outside. We all ordered a glass of wine each, 2 juices and 3dz of oysters. We ensured the children would not be bothering the wait staff and sent them running in the backyard. We received our wine and the oysters, but no serviette, no silverware, no oysters’ condiment, just 3 pie plates of oysters with all melted ice. Definitely the oysters were sitting for a while before wait staff brought them on our table. We had to ask 2 different wait staff to bring us at least serviettes and they made us feel like we were asking something impossible. On the wine note, we loved Cuvé Catharine Rosé Brut paired nicely with the oysters and the hot afternoon. Also, earlier in July we had the chance to put our hands on some 2002 Chardonnay that were released for the Cool Climate Chardonnay Celebration and it was just fabulous with nice hint of caramel. Perfect time to drink it. Unfortunately no bottles were left a week after, when we came for oysters. Definitely a stop to add on your wine route or just wine shopping. The Coach House Cafe food is usually excellent as we have eaten lunch there before, but this service incident left us with a bitter taste this time.
