A great wine tasting and other attractive offerings. Yesterday a friend and I attended an event that featured a flight of Pinot Noir's - Pete Bodnar Rod conducted the tasting- if you want an great experience, have Pete demonstrate- he is so knowledgeable and a great guy. I just came back from Sonoma and would say their 2010 Pinot would match up well against 13th street. In addition, they had some wine specials which were great. The chef from Treadwell's put on an excellent spread with slow cooked foods- absolutely excellent. We also visited their baking/gift store - they offer excellent selection of cheeses and at this time of year, Christmas decorations. The event was topped off by a cheese demo put on by the Canadian Cheese Association, the lady who hosted it -was very knowledgeable and social able- Canadian made cheeses were absolutely fantastic. A great event that they continue to offer on a regular basis. I would be remise in not mentioning their winemaker Jean Pierre who was born and raised in France- their loss is our gain- His winemaking abilities have greatly enhanced the quality of wines in Niagara.

We know the 13th Street famous Gamay Noir Sandstone from LCBO which were a success on 1 of my family trip to Montreal. We had a bite of pizza from the bakery We went for a wine and cheese pairing which is fabulous. Sparking white with sheep cheese and the June's Riesling You have for your $10 worth all served on the board with their jelly They even offered us a sample of the 2012 Gamay Sandstone They have some of the best reds in the Niagara region We also had some flights at the bar and bought an Essence Pinot Noir which is outstanding. We ended the visit back to the bakery where we bought the best butter tarts ever and an amazing peach and blackberry pie. From the flatbread pizzas to the pies and tarts the bakery must be visited when you are at the Winery . We were there during the passport time so I am not sure if they do tour however the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable One of the great winery to visit

We enjoyed our wine tasting here very much. As well as the excellent whites, they also had some very nice reds - we especially liked the Gamy Noir Sandstone. Prices are very reasonable. It was so much nicer to come and taste wines and buy ones we knew we would like than to go to the liquor store in Toronto and take pot luck.

Was in the Niagara region for the Long Weekend and had the pleasure of stopping in to the 13th St. Winery for the very first time. Was initially drawn to the Market building which was selling fresh fruits and vegetables (gorgeous Heirloom basket of tomatoes for $10!), fresh pies (our niece insisted on needing a Peach one), cheeses, spreads, foodie items, etc. I ended up buying an adorable outdoor squirrel ornament made out of cast iron?, a jar of 13th St. Apricot Jalapeno Jelly (lots of samples available to taste) and a jar of local LilleyBee Honey ($10 for a kg. which is a great price). They also have lunches available and the nice ladies at the cash took our order and said they'd bring it over to the outside deck of the Winery for us momentarily. Once seated out there (lovely breeze on a gorgeous summer's day) another pleasant lady took our drink order. There was fresh water in a container if you wanted but the four of us all chose the White wine flight so we could have a fun taste test along with our meal. We chose two yummy flatbread pizzas (Pepperoni and Asiago?) and two Heirloom tomato sandwiches. The sandwiches were a bit plain but still tasty and it was a most pleasant meal. We purchased a couple of bottles of the 2012 White Palette, admired the stunning Harvest table in the Gallery room and the artwork (all by Canadian artists) and bid our adieu. Out of the four vineyards we visited that day, 13th St. was our favourite. Can't wait to go back! Whoever is in charge of this Winery is doing a bang up job.

This is a very pleasant stop in Ontario that's far better than the chaos of Niagara Falls. We went out looking later in the day than we'd planned due to the check-in chaos at the Courtyard, but found that this winery was still open. We're delighted we did. The wine is mostly true to form for Ontario wines in that it's mostly white, off-dry and with a lot of fruit and floral notes. But unlike some, they also have some credible reds. It's worth a visit, and you'll probably find some wine you like. We did, and carted several bottles home.

We happened upon the winery out of the blue having just been to the Whitty Farms stnd they pointed us in your direction. What a wonderful surprise when we pulled up. The surroundings are serene and tranquil,, The staff was more then eager to help us and were incredibly friendly. What fantastic experience. Keep up the great work that you do!!!!!

I had been trying for a number of years to go to this winery because we had one of their wines at a restaurant a number of years ago and we were impressed with it. We final got there a couple of weeks ago and were very impressed with their wines, the ambience, the art work hanging on the walls, the sculpture garden and the bakery on site. We had a wonderful tasty light lunch sitting looking out on the garden and thought we were having the best time. We were so impressed with our reception by the staff and the wines sampled that we joined their wine club!! We have had our first shipment and we look forward to sampling their wines at home. We totally recommend a visit to this winery and we feel sure any wine lover will be equally impressed

We went on a wine tour this past sat and ended the day at the 13th Street Winery for their Jazz & Blues night. All 6 of us had a great night of wine, food and music. Beautiful location and set up starting off with their bakery, where you must try the bacon, raisin tarts ;-)) and then off for a relaxing wine tasting. They have a very nice selection of whites and red as we all found ones we liked and took home. If your planning a wine tour day this is a must do for a fun filled day. We can't say enough about the staff and the owners, making you feel like good friends. A very special thank you to Karen from Wolf and the Binbrook group. We will be back again Karen for some of your future events, see you again. Wolf & Cindy

The white, red and sparkling wines are pretty good. The nicest surprise at the winery was the bakery. The butter tarts are all fresh and delicious. A must visit. The ladies working in the bakery are friendly and full of great advice. Worth stopping at to visit.

Read a review in the a Toronto newspaper calling them an exciting new winery. I couldn't agree more- the wines were outstanding, with focus, style and depth! IIya was our congenial host who was knowledgeable and helpful. Sparkling, White and Red were all winners, with a special mention to the Gamay Noir, which was delicious, reminiscent of a Cru Beaujolais. Make this a definite stop, while touring this beautiful area and you will not be disappointed! Highly Recommended!

Really like this winery and the gift shop and bakery. Everything is so good! Great for wine lovers and foodies and shoppers! We would visit more often but we are usually winery hopping on Sundays and this place is closed. That is the reason I can't give it 5 stars :(

During a well justified return visit to 13th Street last summer, we enjoyed a glass and some cheese on their pleasant patio and then purchased a bottle to take home to Ottawa.Upon opening it recently, I discovered that the cork had dried enough to turn the wine. I wrote a short note the the winery to let them know. They immediately offered to replace the bottle. But when stopping by 13th Street proved impractical for someone living so far away, they went the extra steps to replace the spoiled wine. This gesture was quite unexpected but much appreciated as exemplary of the kind of winery it is!
