Huge Warehouse with lots of great deals. Plan to spend at least 2 hours there. Keep a keen eye out for the tucked away deals; lots to see.
This place is easy to find. We came upon it our first time on our way home. This time we came to stratford just to go here. I love this place. It's clean and organized. Easy to go up and down hallways. There's something for everyone. If your specifically looking for furniture there isn't an abundance but alot of dressers, end tables etc. Prices are okay, Real antiques are a little more pricey but hey it's unique, right. There was some items I would have bought in a heart beat but we traveled by car and wouldn't be able to fit it in the car. There's a nice selection on jewelry at the front of the store displayed nicely. The month of feb. all vendors have the choice of 20-50 percent off which was really appealing. The staff are very nice too. We also went to canada's largest warehouse in woodstock and a warehouse in watford and by far my choice was stratford's warehouse. I'm looking forward to going again, maybe in the summer this time.
This antique warehouse is located on Ontario Street just on the edge of town! It is packed with antiques, collectables & oddities of all kinds. A fast walk through takes an hour, but 2 hours would not be impossible to spend there! I go every month to see whats new!
My daughter was on a mission looking for skeleton keys and she was not disappointed. She found three to her liking and the price was right! Staff was friendly and very helpful! Good place to browse!!
The warehouse is comprised of multiple individual vendor booths. The facility is bright, clean and items were well displayed and priced. There were staff available to answer questions. As expected, most of the stock seemed to be collectibles vs antiques, which was a bit disappointing, but there was plenty of variety.
Just a few miles up the road from Stratford is the HUGE Antique Warehouse. Lots of the usual old cups and saucers, etc. There seems to be no real organization for most of it. The one really interesting thing I saw was a pendant of opal, diamonds, and smokey topaz. About $375 with 10% off. Lovely, but not enough for me to want to buy it. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the washrooms were clean. I probably won't go back.
This is a great stop for those that like antiques and old curiosities. I was surprised by the friendly staff ( unlike most such places, there were actually staff who offered to help customers and who smiled and greeted customers at the entrance!). A couple of other things I liked...* Prices here are fair. * There are a variety of items from antique books to kitsch to furniture.* While there is some junk, there are a lot of quality collectibles and antiques.* There are enough booths to make things competitive and give customers a way to spend an hour or two. I saw occasional duplicates of items (such as a coke cooler) that were priced differently.I did not like...* As always with these places someone has a booth where they are selling items that de-value their booth/reputation, and may also scare buyers away from the joy of antiquing. Here I saw new soda pop bottles for sale for $3, nearly worthless reproduction coke trays worn to look authentic for $25-$50, and the kicker... a heavily circulated1965 U.S. quarter (very common and worth .25) packaged and priced at $7.
ProsHuge place...so many items to choose from!Prices are fair to say the least...Place has a clean washroom and ample parking.ConsItems are consigned so there's no wiggle room... but as I said prices are fair...A lot of vintage items, so if you're hunting pure antique you better know your stuff... Conclusion? Pros outweigh the cons I'll be back!
The Stratford Antique Warehouse contains the wares of many vendors. The items for sale cover a wide range of tastes and prices. All the stalls are clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and easy to find. We found it to be a pleasant experience and left with several purchases.
Interesting items of old for sale.Parking and washrooms.I personally wouldn't visit with children. I love children, so I wouldn't expect them to have too much patience there.
Plan to spend a few hours! Ample free parking & clean washrooms, and a plethora of great finds. I'd stop by every week if I could!
My husband and I love to treasure hunt any chance we get. We visited Stratford Antiques Warehouse for the first time and we had such a great morning! The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The store is very well kept and easy to maneuver. It is chock full of antiques and vintage collectibles. We spent a few hours and found some very interesting items to purchase at reasonable prices. We will definitely go back whenever we are in that area.
We visit every time we're in the area. So many and varied booths, something for everyone. Very well organized, great staff. Not to be missed.
Best antique shopping. Huge place and a lot of vendors. Give yourself plenty of time to browse everything, as there's a lot to see.
You could send more than the two hours that we did! There is so much to see, plan on taking your time. Clerks were very helpful. Be sure to have Canadian money though, we did not. We had to use our charge card as they charged 20% exchange.
