My mom and I saw this movie and although, the content was racy and maybe not suitable for mother/daughter relationship, the employee did remove under age movie goers so they were not exposed to such inappropriate material.
The show was comedy, The Investor's Group, that I had never heard of, being American. We go to a local comedy club in our hometown of Erie, Pa and have visited other comedy clubs both in Canada and the U.S. The two men who entertained us were the best and funniest we have ever seen. One was Canadian and one was American. This was a fundraiser for the local food bank and well worth admission at $25 per person. However, if I hadn't had the email receipt with me neither my husband and I nor the Canadian couple with us would have known it was performed at The Gayety Theatre. That is the only negative I can think of.
We went to see the show at Theatre Collingwood during a recent visit to the town. The show was called "Country Jukebox" and had a great selection of country music. There were three singers and a fabulous back up band. They played songs from many eras and the audience just loved it. There was something for everyone.....whether you were old school country or more modern in your tastes.....they covered it all. The musicians were multi-talented and played many different instruments. We thought it was a great night out!
We have a yearly subscription (5 plays). They try hard to select entertaining plays which we always find enjoyable.
Good movie theatre is nice. It is a galaxy. Well located. Close to everything. Seating is comfortable. Would recommend.
If you are looking for an enjoyable fun evening in Collingwood be sure to take in Theatre Collingwood.
Went to see a great live play called 'The Foursome 'by Norm Foster...all of the actors did a superb job and the Play write showed great insights and humour in his four characters .
We arrived at the Theater Collingwood office looking for classes. We met the friendly receptionist and before we knew it we were buying tickets to the show that night. We arrived at the beautiful, historical Gayety Theater. We met more theater lovers, volunteers and locals. The theater staff and volunteers went out of their way to make every guest feel comfortable. It was an older crowd, and we even met a retired set designer from the CBC.The show far exceeded our expectations, we will return next year!
Loved this performance, loved the theatre, loved everything! (It was my first time going to the Gayety not to see a movie)
Very good show with very talented singers playing the lead roles. Entertaining and enjoyable. The renovated theatre is now comfortable and the seats good.
