Fore!! You kidding me! The area between green to tee is a bit tight and when it's busy and not marshalled you can start to hit into each other and golf rage rakes over. Some gimmicky holes but in decent shape and can be very difficult to score. Go fore it!

Lakeview is a great city owned golf course. When we played the course it was in great condition and well maintained. The course does has 2 gimmicky holes - #12 which features a 90 degree dogleg right and #17 which has 2 tee boxes and 2 different greens. Other than that, the course does have a great layout. We managed to play our round in 3 hours and 20 minutes. It is reasonably priced and we will probably play it again.

beautiful course, well maintained, watch out for that creek ! DEF water hazard the way the holes are lined up. The other issue I had when I went > sliced the ball and bounced of the pro shop roof... um, OOPS ???

I have played this course several times this year and am always impressed by the condition of the course. There are a few tricksy holes but generally its an interesting course with great variety of hole layouts and a mixture of the difficult and open - although the course is mature enough for trees to interfere with most wayward shots.Pace of play is of course dependent on the day and time and there is no pressure from the Marshalls to keep play moving along. So could be 4 or 5 hours on the day.Prices are very good - from low 40's to 50s. You can now book times and be sure to book several days in advance.

Lakeview golf course is one of the best golfing experiences you will find anywhere. City owned but with a great history.. One time home to the Canadian Open PGA Tour Event. Get their early if you want to play...No advanced pre tee time bookings accepted.

THe Canadian Open was played here many years ago. For a public course this is one of the best. Call early for tee times or try your luck at a walk-on if you're a single. Carts are available, but walking is a good alternative. Easy access from the QEW or airport.

This is an excellent golf experience and you can get on easily. The condition of the course was excellent. Pace of play was great. The clubhouse has a good restaurant and of course there is a beer cart.

I must say from experience that this is a well run golf course by tthe City of Mississauga. Golf fees are reasonable and course is in good shape. One can get some good tee off times during the week but tthe weekends are extremely busy. For a first time golfer this course maybe be very challenging but it is good for exercise.

Always well maintained. This is a challenge for duffers and good players alike. It is not long but the greens are tough and there are some interesting surprises. Close to downtown. The course is one of the oldest in Canada

Monday nights you can play 9 holes and enjoy a bbq for a very affordable price. You get to play the front 9 and can bring your own foresome or just join another group. This is a lot of fun with prizes most nights.

Well, I try to play golf ones in a while and sometimes I’m able to pull off a good shot or two. While travelling and if I have the time, golf is definitely high on my list of recreational activities. This July I’m bound for Toronto, Canada. My first time in Canada and I’ve been looking forward to it for quite some time. I’ve always been fascinated by Canada, the almost quarter of the earth it covers (well perhaps a little less) and the fact that it is home to many of my countrymen who fled poverty and misery for better fortune overseas. Back to golf. My first day in “Toronto” was spent on a golf course in Mississauga, next door neighbor to Toronto. When I booked it online through the Mississauga City website, it was the one I was able to book without much hassle and it appealed to me that it was highly rated by Golf Digest, had history and reputation and was open to the public. What I and my spouse had in store was a fantastic episode of human interaction, four and a half hours of golf and chat with Sarah and Marylyn (hope I spell it right) and the most incredible service of the staff at Lakeview golf course, Jim and his colleagues who went further than anyone could have expected to make us feel at home. Coming from the plane, not checked into a hotel, with all the luggage on our backs… everything was nothing to them,… they just wanted us to have a great time at the course. And they succeeded. Thanks to all of you!
