Small exhibit area on 2nd floor which is also a viewing gallery for the main temple area. Offers weekend chinese classes for kids, and hosts a scout troupe.Vegetarian restaurant onsite, and a mess hall serving plates of food on the weekends for $8/plate. Restaurant is supposed to be quite good. The mess hall food is quite tasty.
I am not a religious person so when I say this Temple is truly a place of peace, I am saying it very objectively. The Temple is always clean, quite, peaceful, warm and welcoming. We try to visit as often as we can as we enjoy the delicious food they serve at lunch. you buy tickets which are $7 each and you can order and item of food, tea, desert per ticket. Almond and fruit tea is a must!!!!one of my favourite places in Mississauga! I wish them many blessings and thank them for their hospitality.
Very accessible place, close to major highways. We went there on a bright sunny winter day. Enough parking at front, more on the side and at the rear as well.No photography inside the temple building is allowed. The temple from inside is gives a calm, quiet feel. Architecture of Buddha on the walls is beautiful. If you plan to have food/tea from the inside restaurant, keep in mind that there last order is half an hour before the closing time. The second floor has a library and a museum. Membership for library was $10. Most books are in Chinese, but one wall is dedicated to books in English.Would love to go back during prayer and or Chinese festival time.
Wow, amazingly beautiful on the inside and outside - very relaxing, helpful staff and volunteers here as well. Visit during "Open Doors Mississauga".
The food is delicious abundant and very low priced as the staff are all volunteers. Nothing to dislike
I visited this temple for the first time yesterday and am going back again this morning after I write this review. This is a very peaceful place and the volunteer greeters are also kind and welcoming. If you wish to learn about the teachings, they have lots of free information. They also have many open classes as well as other for which a reasonable fee is charged. I will be saying more after further exploration, but my first impressions were very good.
Its a beautiful Buddhist temple. The architecture of the building is beautiful as it looks and feels like a temple. They have some fascinating things outside before you make your way in. Once you get in there is a huge hall for prayers and on your right you have all vegetarian cafe/restaurant, which is reasonably priced.Lotus Tea House : WOW!!! Never though to go to eat at a temple. Basically they have a ticket system and I believe its $5 or $7 bucks and with that ticket you can order any one item from the menu. The food is all Vegetarian and very tasty. I had the spicy rice noddle soup and trust me the portion was great and it wasn't just soup. The noddles and vegetables were in their full potential. I got another ticket to get their fruit tea.... and make sure you get it as its to die for. I near head such a fruity tea. The service was great and make sure during office lunch time you get there earlier as it could get busy. All in all its a great place to visit and have a meal.
