five islands lighthouse

On a scenic little hillside overlooking the Bay of Fundy and Five Islands Provincial Park. Nice beach area. Friendly people live in the little village there. Very picturesque.

We stopped here after a stop at Five Islands Provincial Park as its only a few miles east. This is a well-maintained park that offers excellent views of Five Islands and Minas Basin. You can also climb to the top of the Lighthouse for a nice 360 view of the area.

While driving along highway 2, after visiting Joggins and Parrsboro, I came across a sign for the 5 Islands Lighthouse Park and decided to check it out. What a lovely spot off the highway, complete with playground for children and picnic area The view across the Bay of Fundy and the 5 islands was impressive. Great spot to take a break.
