island hill farm

30 or so people joined us at Island Hill Farm today for our son's 5th birthday. We set up picnic tables in the party room, then started visiting with the owners and their animals. The kids were so excited to be able to milk a goat, hold 3-day-old bunny babies, feel alpaca wool, and touch warm, freshly laid eggs! The owners talked to the kids for about 30, teaching about their farm, the different types of animals they keep, and the products that they sell .

I absolutely love this place. I work at a summer camp and we took the children here, and they had so much fun. The owners took great care of us, they had goat races with the children. There were so many animals, and they even let the children hold a lot of them. I highly recommend this place :)

As an animal professional I can assure anyone reading this that this place is a rare, wonderful gem in an industry full of places more concerned with making money than raising animals. Island Hill Farm has top notch service, happy and friendly animals, high quality produce (eggs, goat milk soaps and soon - Dairy!) and a pleasant, clean environment in which you are safe to mingle with the wide variety of animals. This is a personal favorite and much visited place for our entire family, as well as the venue for our daughters coming birthday!Make sure to not miss the opportunity to visit this extraordinary place, even in the dead of winter the barn is well lit, warm and clean and in summer and spring it is an absolute joy. Keep an eye out for their camps and events. We have NEVER been disappointed when coming here.

Sunday was our first visit to island hill farms. Our 16 month old daughter had an awesome time with all the animals. We could not get over how friendly all the animals were. We will definitely be making more visits to island hills in the future.

We have visited this lovely little petting farm many times and had my daughter's 7th birthday there. It is so much fun! The owners are lovely, so knowledgeable about the animals, and it's all hands-on - the kids got a chance at milking a goat, cuddling the bunnies and kittens, feeding the pigs, etc. etc.! The goat's milk soap is very nice too. Highly recommend it for a family outing!

I took my family to Island Hill Farm for the first time on Sunday and what a great time we had. Everyone was so friendly and the animals were awesome. The children enjoyed seeing all the animals especially the goats. The new kids were so adorable. I highly recommend a visit Island Hill Farm, you will not be disappointed!!

So interactive. Animals were all amazing with the kids. My oldest even slept with a cat and gave him his soother. Goats were hilarious and the kids loved being able to get right in with them. Also valuable for them to see how the animals were taken care of ie fed, watered, cleaned, rest time etc.... We brought our lunch and ate a picnic. The kids never want to leave.

Hi Kelly, I am sorry you felt misinformed about our farm. We are primarily a farming business and opened the 'petting farm' secondary. The goats that are available as meat (which is a small percentage that we own) are kept in a different barn from the one the children visit, get to know and love. We try to keep the two separate. The most amazing place on PEI! This is NOT just a farm. This is a place to come, relax, and have fun. The owners, Flory and Robby, truly love sharing their farm and educating you on all of the special animals there. They even offer day camps during the summer and PD days. My daughter has attended both and the experiences that she has had while there are absolutely amazing We loved it so much, our daughter even had her birthday party there. I definitely recommend this place to EVERYONE!

was there with a friend getting wedding photos done and had beautiful surroundings. Also had visited there with a group of children and they loved the hands on experience with the animals ! Was also there with a group of children and adults for my nephews birthday, everyone loved it!!!! This family run business is one of a kind on P.E.I and would recommend it to anyone visiting the island and also residents of P.E.I!!!

Beautiful farm sitting on the top of a hill. Here you can see lots of different kinds of animals from kittens to Alpacas. I know there are lots of activities that you can do, I was there on an off time so did not get to participate..I took my granddaughter and friend on two different occasions. Seeing all the different animals was the best..A camera is a must and perhaps rubber boots would be a plus. It is a great place to have a Birthday Party...

This is my families happy place. We love the farm, animals and owners. What a beautiful place to spend the afternoon and get to know the personalities of these darling animals. There is goats, potbelly pigs, alapacas, bunnies, a donkey and even a horse! Oh don't forget the hens, ducks and kittens! Warms your heart to visit these friendly animals! A must see.Don't forget to grab some homemade Goat milk soap while visiting!
