we went on a saterday with 16 guys for our annual tourney and what a nightmare.. first the check in desk lady was talking on her personal phone while we stood there.. and then charged us double for all our carts. big hassle.. golf was good.. but come to the 9th for a hot dog or something to eat and wow.. your out of hot dogs and out of club house sandwiches ???? this is a saterday at 11:00 prime time and your out ??? brutal.. plus there is no beverage lady driving around or snack lady around at all.
This course was beautiful with lots of challenges especially the greens. Decent price. The members were very nice and helpful. If ever in the region, this course requires challenging.
You can soon find out why so many good golfers come out of Ledgeview. I still love the course after playing it numerous times over the years and will continue to do so
I have written about this course before, and nothing have changed, it is a great layout, very challenging and in beautiful shape. It is the home to 3 PGA pros and a BEST BREAK semi finalist. If you walk, you will get a great workout and there are few flat spots on the course.NOW, the last time I wrote, I was concerned about the restaurant, well it has changed. The Course board has contracted the food services out to a local catering service. They have refreshed the dining room making it not only nice and pleasant, but fresh and bright. The food is extremely good, with a nice variety menu, tasty fresh made items and chef specialties. It is now a place to go with, whether your golfing or not. The ribs and homemade pizzas are the best.
The golf course is excellent, well maintained, and a test for any level golfer. The course is shorter for many, but the tight tree lined fairways, difficult undulating greens, and side of a mountain location make it a challenge for many, including the 3 PGA tour players and recent runner up on big break who call it home. There seems to not be a flat lie on the course. Take advantage of the short par fours, and drive it straight and you will be happy, but bring a few extra golf balls. The restaurant is poor, with too expensive fare for the average golfer, and it is not a fine dining location to justify the types of menu items and cost.
