This is a nice walking spot in Coquitlam. It's a nice bark mulch easy trail to follow around the lake. You'll see lots of different ducks, birds along the way. There are blooming trees, flowers, mountains in the distance. If you walk once around the lake is is one Kilometer so you can keep track of your paces. There is free parking at both ends of the lake. You will find it very peaceful. In the odd year the lake freezes over in the winter and people skate on it. Being a local I grew up here and skated many times in the early 60's. Oops showing my age.On the road side there is a fenced in area for kids to play, swing set, slide etc. There is also a couple small docks which seniors fish there. The lake gets stocked every year and you will see fishermen standing with their rods. There are no motors allowed on the lake but an odd day you'll see canoes or Kayaks enjoying the beauty of this spot.Lots of bench seats, garbage cans, picnic tables along the way. At the north end of the lake there is a brand new building with washrooms/restrooms. Stop by for a stroll around one of my favorite lakes locally

I love to walk. This park is flat. It suited me as I have back problems. It was idyllic. Tidy. Loved all the ducks and other wild life. A wonderful place just to walk or sit and relax and let the world go by. Very well maintained. Lovely lake. Friendly Canadians!

Great for going for a walk, taking kids to the park or getting out with the dog. Beautiful scenery, you can fish in the lake. Nice Spot.

So peaceful, great lake and walking path. Unfortunately between goose poop and crows picking at beetles, the grass is wet, boggy and to be avoided.

The lake is nice to walk around and very safe. There is a small playground and few docks to walk out on as well as park benches to sit and enjoy the view. I wish people would read the signs for a change. There are signs posted asking people NOT to feed the wildlife and you still see them doing this. It attracts the rats and most people feed the birds bread, which isn't good for them in the first place. Also to those that take their dogs for a walk, please refrain from using your retractable leashes. Keep your dogs at a normal 6 foot distance from you. Not all other dogs like to be approached by yapping dogs on long leashes. And even though your dog is small, you still need to pick up their poop. Another thing, if you are going in a group, you don't have to take up the entire pathway. Leave room for others to walk by. Common sense.

I live close to the park and visit often. It is a lovely walk and well used by lots of people. There are 2 parking lots so parking is usually not an issue. there are washrooms at one end of the park. The trail around the lake is picturesque and it is very safe for walking or running. You can watch people fish there as it is stocked. There are ducks and Canada geese (watch where you step) throughout the park. there is a small playground on one side of the park and there are picnic tables at one end as well. Really worth a visit.

There is a one kilometer trail around the lake for walking, running or sightseeing. The varied and beautiful trees offer seasonal colours. Quite often flocks of ducks and geese are present on the lake and shore lines Some age-limited fishing available as lake is stocked with catchable size rainbow trout. There is a small playground area for children as well.
