Used to go here with my own 4 kids and some neighbours from FSJ. We would take a tent and lots of picnic food. Kids could swim, play in the park, chase each other and crash in the tent later. Moms had a good visit between chasing kids, changing diapers, feeding kids, dressing and un-dressing kids, taking life-guard duty, etc etc. Great memories
Take your little ones down to this park if you need a day to cool aoff and relax. The water is not heated but usually stays a nice temperature. There is a sand volleyball court and change rooms, sometimes a food vendor is also on site, but this is a nice place to picnic is you wish.
Right in the center of town, a great little park and pool (although we did not try out the pool), close to the Dawson Creek Trail (walking and biking), and a great RV park with free Wi-Fi. Highly recommended!
I love this park. The kids can play, teenagers can play volleyball, swim. Located right beside the Pioneer Village Museum, which is nice. Made a day out of it, and really enjoyed it.
The little manmade lake would be a great respite for families and RV folks in the summer who want a quick dip. The park offers lots of picnic areas and the access from the road is great.
We just had a great day at Rotary park. We brought a picnic lunch and the kids rotated between splashing in the lake, warming up in the sun, and playing on the park. I saw one reviewer say the water was dirty, but that was definitely not the case this time! It was very clean. We plan to enjoy this park as much as possible before they get rid of it at the end of the summer.
Great fun for the whole family, take a picnic lunch or buy from the vendors there, visit nereby pioneer village and make a whole day of it
Safe park for small children. Close to Pioneer Park if weather not suitable for swimming. Camp at municipal campground and you are close to all these facilities.
This is an outdoor, man made little pool. It is quite dirty so I would be careful of kids drinking the water. It is outdoors after all so I'm not sure what they could do about it. It just seemed quite polluted.
I have been going to Rotary Lake, also known as "Man-Made" for decades. We love to take kids there to play in the water while we relax in the shade of the trees. It's clean and well maintained and a really nice spot.
